“From 4/20/24Drove from Richmond to enjoy some lunch and music.My only complaint is with prices. Now of course it depends on what you order, but $10 for a 12oz beer in a clear solo cup is high. Our lunch total was over $100. A pizza is $15, a sandwich cost varies but my wife had a sandwich that was $23.Staff was excellent. We sat at the bar and our bartender ( Hannah) was awesome . The music by Ray Martin was excellent. The atmosphere is great being right on Lake Gaston. And the locals we met there were rather friendly and offered fun conversations.Enjoyed the experience but at these prices, it will not be often.”

“A solid "just okay." My son and I ordered a combination plate to share, which had a taco, tostada, enchilada, chile relleno, rice, and beans. The beans and rice were delicious (but you really have to work to mess those up). The other items were good, however, they all had just ground beef in them, not seasoned. I would suggest that they change it up a bit. The enchilada sauce was yummy!”

“This is the best pizza I have gotten in years. Even though it is in a Shell station they do a fantastic job making pizza. They give you lots of the toppings you choose. They dont jip you. The only thing I wish is that I could get large pizza. Irder pizza every friday night.”

“I have been craving Quiznos for the last 18 years. It’s been hard to get into one as they have closed a lot of stores. Finally, around 5 o’clock this afternoon, the guy making the sandwiches was very pleasant and made them very delicious. I’ve been missing this the whole time. I will definitely be returning as I come through Virginia. And please thank the man who was working for a pleasant visit and conversation.”

“My husband and I eat at the Bracey, Va. location very often. The food and service is always great. Best of all, we are always greeted coming in the door with, welcome to Huddle House. We usually see friends from Kenbridge, Va. South Hill, Va. and North Carolina, too. Looking forward to going for breakfast next Saturday.Also, sign up for the reward program, it’s a great benefit!”

“I stopped in South Hill for the night to break up a long drive from DE to Hickory, NC, and went here for a beverage but ended up having more than one, as well as wings. Why not since it was the wing special night. I got the hot honey sauce. Holy cow. I can't say what I want about it because another hot sauce commercial stole what I'd say but something to the effect that I'd put it on everything. Really friendly staff to the out of towner.”

“So let me tell you I have been passing this spot for awhile now and today I got to stop and I am so glad I did. If you have not tried them out you are missing out on some great food coffee, and great service. I got the breakfast burrito and it by far is one of the best I have ever had. So if you get a chance stop in and you won't be disappointed. Also while your there add to the pay it forward board to help someone out who may need that little bit of pick me up and know that people do care about others.”

“We felt the love at Love Cafe! We were greeted by a very nice young lady that was running the eclectic cafe by herself today. She told us to help our selves to tea or water and she would be right with us. She was making a wrap that looked amazing! We settled on the build your own bowls. I had a steak bowl full of tender steak strips and fresh greens, it was great to have riced cauliflower as an alternate grain option. Vast menu full of healthy options of smoothies açaí bowls and wraps. The vibe was very laid back portion sizes were large and served in cute boxes. No issues with parking. All of the customers were friendly to us and we all conversed as we waited for our lunches. We are traveling but I'm going back tomorrow for zoodlesagne!! I felt the love at love cafe!”

“We’ve stopped there a couple times since we are staying in the area. We hasn’t been to a 5 Guys in a while. It was very good. Burgers were great and fries were as good as I remember!”

“Still on our way back from Richmond to Charlotte. Just before the state line we found this beautiful winery. Good wine and great history. Tasting done the old fashion way since some of the covid restrictions. No more flights only but actual wine tasting. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Perfect fall day. All is well.”

“We stopped for lunch while driving thru VA. We were surprised by the portion size for such a modest price. The place is small and the parking lot is a bit of a challenge (our car bottomed out) but the food was worth the challenge. Very tasty. Service was a little slow but not really a problem.”

“Wanted some lunch and hit Burger King for some original chicken sandwiches. Went through drive through, and the line was long with going very quickly. I always order my sandwiches with no lettuce and add cheese. Drove up to the window and usually have to wait, but my food was hot and ready. “This little grill on the side of the road is such a gem. I am so glad we found it but wished it had been sooner, lol. We stopped by and ordered the cheesesteak and fries. For dessert we ordered soft serve ice cream cones. Absolutely delicious. The young lady that waited on us was delightful. She had an accent that reminded me of the Louisiana Bayou. Loved it! She was so polite. Will stop by on our future trips to the lake for sure.”

“Best burger and fries ive had in a very long time! Can’t recommend this little slice of roadside heaven enough. Perfect for a quick bite during the work day or chillin on a weekend. Try the “hoop cheese” !! (And the sweet potatoes too)”

“Prices were very reasonable and service was solid. Each ordered a steak burrito and it was good. We did ask for no refried beans and extra rice on our plates but they did add the beans.IMO, The salsa is excellent. Just enough kick. We go through there every few weeks. I’m sure I’ll be stopping by to get a to-go order of salsa.”

“What a great place to eat. I don't eat at Luca's often but the experience has always been pleasant. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly. My go to is the shrimp alfredo with a side salad and garlic bread. The portions are generous so I always have some to take home. I can't wait to dine here again. Way to go Luca's.”

“We had lunch here today for our first visit. I had a Reuben and a cup of clam chowder. My wife had a wrap on spinach bread with chicken salad, both got pickles, and she got chips instead of the soup I ordered. Sandwiches were large and very tasty. The soup was thick with clams & the other fixins. Definitely will be returning for lunch again very soon”

It was by far the best customer service that I have experienced in years... She was fast, she was polite and best of all she was friendly...
