I am no expert but North Carolina style should hint of smoke without tasting like it and Bubba-N-Frank’s does it perfectly. I don’t know where my spuds came from but came out hot and crisp and delicious. Unfortunately finding the best NC BBQ means I am limited to the sandwich or the platter haha.

I remember eating here a lot in 2022. I think they changed something with the buns since then. They're a bit bigger now but also drier and less tasty. The prices have only been going up since then the last time I checked. The service is always nice though, and they've never gotten my order wrong.

Ribs were smothered in sauce and tasted baked in an oven instead of smoked on a pit. The mac & cheese was horrible. The noodles were mushy and covered in a cheese sauce. The collard greens were ok and the hush puppies had no flavor. The banana pudding had only 1 cookie and smothered in whip cream. This place use to have great food years ago but now it's not good and certainly not worth 22.00 a plate. The food quality has to get better!

The best of the best barbecue in Hampton Roads. You'd think you're somewhere in TX. The hospitality is elite and feels like a home cooked meal made with some good ol' country lovin!

Fast friendly service. The catfish was seasoned well, fried crispy yet tender and flaky. The restaurant is casual. It was very clean.

Very disappointed! Ordered grilled catfish entree. The menu states two pieces. There were two pieces but very small & thin that together the two didn’t look large enough to be considered one piece. Plus, the fish was extremely salty & I do not like salt. The sides ordered were collards & coleslaw. Both were just okay.I called the restaurant to express my disappointment. The person answering the call was very polite, but stated it’s just the way it comes (meaning those two very thin, tiny pieces of fish). For $18+, including tax, I expected better.Would not even consider returning!!!’

I normally leave reviews through GrubHub, but thought I should add one here too. I have had almost everything on their menu and it's all good. My favorite is actually the catfish; if you like good catfish this is DA BOMB! Their ribs are generously portioned. I think their best meat dish is the chopped pork with the vinegar sauce. I'm not a huge fan of sweet bbq sauces but theirs isn't overly sweet Their cole slaw is really good too, like how KFC's used to taste before they changed the recipe. The hushpuppies aren't the typical balls of cornbread, but they are still deep fried, crispy goodness so it's all good!
