Despite both google and yelp claiming the restaurant closes at 10PM, we were denied service for dine in even after reaching 40min prior to closing time. The attendant claimed the restaurant closes at 9:30PM even though I showed him both yelp and google business time. Anyway, we ordered chicken lollipop and soup to go, and the chicken was raw and cold underneath. Not only they were unprofessional with customer service, the food served was uncooked due to them rushing. Horrible experience and not going back.

If you are looking for Indo-Chinese, skip this place. Bland chicken lollipop, flavorless 'masala' fried rice and chilli chicken. Very disappointing meal.

Showed up right at 12pm which is when the store opens. The store was closed. Tried calling the phone number twice and went to voicemail. The only way I knew it was open was when one of the workers said that they did not have anyone to tend to the store. At a bare minimum there could have been a sign that says closed. Horrible customer service

My hubby and I dropped in today, just by chance as we were pretty hungry, so here is my review, thoughts and a couple of suggestions (just in case they read these reviews) We didnt want to eat too much, so, we shared their Sweet and Sour chicken dish which was the best we ever had EVER! Yummo!!! The biggest reason is that they used dark meat instead of dry white meat, its breaded just right, and covered in a sweet/sour sauce along with pieces of pineapple, grilled red/green bell peppers and onions, served with basmati rice vs standard short grain rice. It was marked as NOT spicy, yet it had a kick to it but a very enjoyable kick. we will go back for sure, but i would suggest that they put on some soft nice dinner music as there is NO music, so you hear all of the conversations around you, or others on the phone. so, put on some tunes that make people happy and relaxed. Music makes people happy and relaxes them, i know this for a fact. also, they had paper straws! we do not like the sticky paper feel of the straws on our lips. maybe they could offer paper vs plastic? there was only one server and only two tables occupied (us and another table) so he worked as hard as he could to get the food out. He did great with that, but later, he was in the kitchen for a long time, so we had to wait a while for more water or to get the bill. but again, i would definitely go back.

We went to Sagar Chinese with some friends. The food is Bangali Chinese with a fusion twist. We had Chowmain, General Tho Chicken, Bangladeshi Chicken Roast and Stuffed Pharata. All dishes were served well and was delicious.The place is clean and tidy and service was good. Most definitely worth going back.

Customer service at this place is not up to the per. Other South Indian Chinese restaurants provide better customer service. Food was not good at all. We ordered Lollipop chicken, wonton, Thai soup with chicken and veg, masala fried rice, beef Manchurian, and one spicy shrimp. Appetizers were too dry and stinky. Beef was not cooked properly. All the food came in after 45 mins. Never going back to this place again.

Hey! Not bad! I went in with low expectations because of the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. The chicken roast (Bengali style) was great. Not too sweet as some people tend to make it. The beef bhuna was also pretty good. The chicken lollipop was good. The chicken sandwich was outstanding. My 9 year old loved it a lot and ate the whole thing. The shrimp Manchurian was pretty good but they fried the shrimp in batter and it got soggy. And the rice was a bit too chewy. But overall, it's a place we would go back again.

If you want to go to Sagar, don’t. Go somewhere else. They took off all the Chinese food and now only serve desi food. Plus, the desi food is so plain and bad. For the price it’s horrible. You can find so much more better desi food restaurants for a cheaper price.

I was super excited to get the Hajji biryani, but after giving two tries, I decided to call it "Haddi Biryani" since both times I got mostly bones with some fats. How can you eat biryani with bones, and not without meat? I held on to my comments until I gave a second try. I cannot understand how a restaurant serves a dish that does not hold up to a bare minimum expectation. I don't think the original owner in NY ever intended to serve hajji biryani this way. Other items are so so; lollypop chicken is pretty good. Since we don't have as many choices of Bangladeshi food here in NoVA, I will probably end up going there again, but not for the "haddi biryani" though.

What nit to love in this place if you are looking for a Desi/Hakka style Chinese. Yeah it's definitely no where near a original Chinese restaurant. But it does suffice the taste for a desi Chinese lover in Nova.
