If you're ever in the Centreville, VA area, I highly advise you to make a special trip to this restaurant. Whenever I go there the staff is very much welcoming and really makes you feel at home. I've never been to Hong Kong and I feel that you can't get any authentic than this restaurant. I've tried many dishes there and all of them has been #1 and you can't go wrong in your selection from the menu. The food has always been freshly cooked and hot off the grill. Thanks Taste of Hong for your generous hospitality and looking forward to my next visit.

The other day, I brought my family to try their dim sum, and we didn't like the food as there was nothing special about it. I was thinking of giving it a second try, and I dined here with a friend a while back, hoping to get good Hong Kong-style dishes for our lunch, and it turned out the food didn't meet our expectations. Although my Chow Foon was okay, there was nothing special about it, and so was the Roasted Duck rice. Overall, everything was alright; nothing stood out, and it was a good experience.

Went there for Chinese New Year dim sum. The table was filthy and some of the dishes were inedible. I will never go again

The service is god awful here. We had stand up and leave after asking to order multiple times and not getting any type of service for 20+ mins. There’s waiters walking around aimlessly with no prioritization of tasks. This has happened on multiple occasions is to why I’m even leaving a review. Last time I try this place. The food is not bad when you can get the order in though.

Nah. I usually go to this place with my parents all the time. We do not mind the poor quality service because the food always makes up for it. Today I order some takeout, on the phone does not tell me the total. Only told me 25-30 minutes and hung up. When I got there, the lady gave me my food just said a random price $85. I told her that was more than what it usually is. Asked for an itemized receipt, attached is what I got as the receipt. That is a paper with random numbers! With a blunt face she said "new menu, new price, menu at the door." Turns out the salt and pepper seafood is now almost $30. Used to be $23 like two weeks ago btw! When home and opened my takeout to this shit. Not only is the proportion tiny for $30, but clearly you can see the outside batter is not golden but mushy and white. I only live 5 minutes from the restaurant, so I can't blame this one on condensation. TERRIBLE!!

The food is as good as you can get in top Cantonese restaurants. Please keep in mind that authentic food may not agrees with American palate. They also prepare American Chinese dishes.Parking: No need to go far.

Came in a group of 8 ladies, and we tried a lot of dim sum and some dishes off the menu. First, I'd like to give kudos to the staff there who were so patient and kind to us, returning without complaint as we kept ordering more, offering us more silverware, water, tea. I am Chinese and a little pickier than most and what I remember ordering includes some shrimp, beef, fried dough stick crepe rolls, char siu buns, custard buns, sticky rice, dry beef chow fun, clay pot rice, taro pastries, chicken feet, spare ribs, shrimp balls, meat balls, black pepper beef, crispy noodles with seafood (my naming may be a bit off). I wish the chicken feet and spare ribs were saltier, my Malayasian friend wishes the crepes were a little thinner, and I wished the chow fun was less salty but the chow fun was otherwise authentically made and not mushy. Everything else was a little above average (though I didn't get to try everything). For the great service, I would have no problem coming back and the food was good enough to have me come back when I have a craving for dimsum. Note we also came on a Tuesday afternoon, and we didn't run into lots of things being sold out. They did not have egg custard that day though! The place is spacious, we were unhurried by staff, treated well by staff -- unlike Han Palace which has a better taste but snottier staff. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience as I last came several years ago and remember it feeling more cramped.

The hospitality and service is outstanding! We were very well taken care of as if the restaurant took us in to their own home. They made a deliberate effort to ensure their hot tea was intended to provide us with warmth. Our waiter, Sam, described the different Chow Foon dishes off the menu and asked if we had a picture of what we wanted to better help find our desired dish. The food was flavorful and unforgettable! Every table around us had enticing dishes. You have to go!

The food was good until I spotted a roach in my congee.

Upon entering the restaurant I was surprised by the cooked meat hanging but I able to move past that, however the cashier was rude. I ordered shrimp lo mein which I thought was pretty safe and basic. I was surprised by the cost $18.00 however I expected it to be good, was I wrong! For $18.00 I expected the shrimp to at least be large and they were almost popcorn sized. The taste was kind of bland and to add to this they did not put any condiments in the bag which most restaurants do, especially for $18.00. My suggestion is to avoid this place!!
