Norkeita is simply the best. I have never once had anything that was less than superb. Every cupcake, cake, and cake tin was decadent and beautifully designed. I've gotten many of my friends obsessed with Caked Up and it's well deserved. My favorite is either the cinnamon biscoff cookie butter cake tin or tonight dough cake. Her Swiss meringue buttercream is to DIE for and perfectly smooth and flavorful. If I could give her more than 5 stars I would!!! I heard that from zero people until my own wedding, when guests were treated to a pumpkin spice and carrot cake from Norkeita at Caked Up Cville. When I tell you it's the best cake I ever had, I'm not just saying it because it was my wedding - ask the other people who were there! This is an incredible business and I highly recommend them for your sweets and cake needs. Not only is her stuff amazing, but Norkeita really makes all the difference! 10/10 would highly recommend Norkeita and her baked goods! Ugh I definitely have such a sweet tooth but when it came to cupcakes and cakes, I hate buttercream because it's way too sweet and thick for my tasting. So when I came across Caked Up Cville, I found out that they don't use buttercream for icing on their baked goods and OMG I could eat her baked goods all day because of the icing alone I received a few cupcakes from her after connecting through her Instagram and contacting her via her business email. I got the Drake Aubrey cupcake and the Mexican Coffee cupcake. The Drake Aubrey is a coconut vanilla bean cake with passion fruit curd, toasted coconut & passion fruit SMBC. The Mexican Hot chocolate cupcake was a dark chocolate cake with a spicy chocolate ganache center, spicy cinnamon SMBC and topped with mini marshmallows. The cupcakes were SO GOOD! The cake/sponge itself was so light and fluffy - jammed packed with flavor, moist, and so so delicate in texture. She has such a diverse array of creative flavors to order and has been doing an amazing job at delivering goods during quarantine. Alongside the food, Norkeita is an absolutely sweetheart! This was an amazing experience where I not only ate good food, but also supported a black woman owned business in Charlottesville!
