I’m from Virginia Beach and decided to drive to Charlottesville for my 2 days off. Discovered Decipher. Little did I know I came across some of the best beer I’ve ever had! The Kolsch is great especially! It was great talking to Mike as well about breweries. He’s always welcome in VB to my brewery Wasserhund! I’ll definitely be back here though!

Chill spot. Spacious, yet cozy. Friendly bartenders and chatty locals. Got a quick flight about 90 mins before closing and greatly enjoyed every beer I had. Had a smoked beer that was especially interesting and tasty

I've been coming to Decipher since it opened and still think of it as a gem of our neighborhood. They have consistently excellent beer and are not afraid to try new things and have a wide variety available at any given time. I've been impressed by their community engagement: from regularly advertised beer releases and amazing food trucks to hosting a market space for Pride month and keeping up a "buy a beer" chalkboard for community members. It's a welcoming and cozy place to try some of the best beer Charlottesville has to offer.

Top notch place. Excellent beers. The decor, is at best utilitarian But nobody is going there for the decor. They also frequently have improv groups and other live music. There are also fire pits outside and outside seating.

One of the best brewery in charlosteville. I am a big fan of wheat beer. They have something called summer at the dreamhouse wheat beer absolutely amazing. Also, they have the Hefewezin. You can't go wrong with that.

Cool little brewery with a great selection of dark beers. Pictures is the 2021 Karabash Russian Imperial Stout. This beer was hearty, deep, yet properly flavor. The barrel aged version was just as good.Among other great beers was their Maximal Smoke Inhalation, a smoked bock beer. I will definitely be coming back with friends!

Nice little place tucked away back in an industrial area. The beer was really good and they are friendly to veterans, which I liked. I would visit again. I wish they had food though.
