I just literally had an out of body experience. I am vegan and they made a vegano version on the spot for our MBA event and the first bite I floated to the pearly gates of taco heaven. Also the owner/manager lady made me feel like I was adopted into her family. Hopefully I can intern here and learn the art of street tacos because I can’t live any longer without these.

As someone that has spent years in Southern California and Texas trying taco trucks of every caliber, I often found myself wondering why the average taco truck from that region does not make the travel to the East, and immediately become the best Mexican food in their area. This place accomplished that. In addition to their southern quality tacos, they also brought along some southern hospitality with them. Some of the nicest restauranteurs I’ve ever met!

I'm just going to state the tacos are the best for many miles around. I'll bet they are some of best real Mexican tacos in VA. You're going to read "authentic" in every review about El Tako Nako and they are correct. It's a bit amusing when a reviewer comments about the "shells" or tortillas not being harder or crunchy. Just stop reading those reviews. They have no idea what Mexican food is about. They are correct in that the corn tortillas that El Tako Nako uses are doubled, very tasty and much larger than most street tacos but they definitely shouldn't be "hard" or crunchy ?.The meats, sauteed onions, fresh chopped onions, cilantro and all taco sauces are very very good. The hipster taco taco stops are not in the same league. Of course no one will notice, or care about, your new AirPods, iWatch, iPhone combo while you enjoy El Tako Nako's good food on their nice eating pavilion. Truly a must stop when passing by. Or a great out of the way trip for very good food! Try a Mexican Coke if you've never had one too.Parking: Easy parking. Right along the 29 on the north bound side. And you can cross over into and out of the parking lot.

I love street tacos. Not your Taco Bell tacos, but authentic, soft corn tortillas with meat, cilantro, onions, etc. This is the place to get them. I would say they put a bit more meat in them than other places so that is an added bonus.

This is a cool little place after the 64 bypass on 29 S. They have good tacos reasonably priced. (The tacos would be even better with a crispier less oily shell). It is a food truck with a pavilion to sit in (or you can sit in your car). There is a neat little grocery next to it with Hispanic staples.Overall I love the concept of easy in and out tacos. The food is authentic, clean kitchen, and the people are wonderful. I think it has great potential to expand into a less hipstery and more reasonable and authentic Brazos/Torchy's/Fuzzy's all of which have elevated the modest taco to a luxury good....Yum. LOOK at the picture. I love small businesses that are making an effort without being pretentious.

I stopped by on my way south and ordered 2 steak, 2 chicken and one Al pastor (shredded pork with a sauce). The tacos can be ordered to eat there in an outdoor patio or to go. They have a fridge on the patio with cold drinks. The tacos are on double corn tortillas with grilled onions. Cilantros. Little tubs of hot sauce and guacamole and a quartered lime. The tacos are excellent. All $3,50 each. Enjoy!

Oh my goodness!I’m not fond of taco in general for the meat is bleh, and the shells are even worse. But my goodness, turned out, I was just only ate American taco.The corn tortillas are to die for. The meat is excellent. Totally changed my life forever hahaha.Please consider stop by to support such wonderful food stand.
