The quesadilla(carna asada) here is the best we have ever had. Super cheesy, not shy on meat, the tortilla has an authentic taste. We tried the pastor tacos as well very good, plenty of meat and homemade corn tortilla. Also had our first Papusa, it blew my mind on how good it was. Was not disappointed at all. Located in the back of shell station took us ten minutes for hot fresh food couldn't ask for better. We are road tripping so it was great food to take with us.

Very lovely Hotel, only a few miles from Monticello. Rooms were very nice and spacious and clean. Also I would like to note, I was very grateful that the hotel had hot water, because a lot of these hotels with Choice Hotels, they turn off the boiler and you don't get hot water till the morning , so I was grateful about that. And also they had a very nice breakfast buffet with eggs included. Highly recommend this hotel for anybody coming in the area to see Thomas Jefferson's Monticello.

This hotel does the job. It is not a 5 star hotel, but I give it 5 stars for being a great 3 star hotel. The staff is freindly, helpful, and available. The rooms are comfortable with a little more than the basics (refrigerator, coffee machine, and more), yet everything is a little worn. It meets basic needs exceedingly well for a couple of nights. Me, I do not enjoy staying in motels and I would go crazy if I had to stay a week even a 4 star non-resort hotel. The place is clean and feels safe. The pool is decent with an older hot tub. The continental breakfast is as expected. Good for a morning or two. The hot waffle machine is a bit of a treat for me, I add bananas ;-) I comfortably recommend this as a good, clean, basic place to stay, but do not expect 5 star hotel amenities, but then agian, it is well priced for what it is. Hope this helps.

Great place for the price! Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Free breakfast is always appreciated. Location was convenient to access Monticello, UVa., etc., without the congestion, higher cost, and and parking challenges of downtown Charlottesville.

This property is well maintained. The room in general and bed specifically we’re comfortable. Even with being on a main road it is a quiet hotel. The staff are professional and friendly. There are gas stations immediately nearby. Touristy places are short drives away.

This is a basic good room at a good price. Everything clean and friendly. Very good shower, comfortable bed, secure and quiet. Breakfast was good with fresh cooked scrambled eggs. Could have some fruit but coffee was very good. Wegmans right across the street and the Timberwood Taphouse has good food and great beer selection.

This place was fine for a night. The suite was nice and roomy. Checkin staff was helpful and quick to get us towels for the pool and washcloths for our room. The breakfast area was large with a few hot options. I rated the place a three because the "24 hour" coffee was not hot at checkin and the pool and room could use some updates. I would still say this is a good choice for a night if you plan to visit local attractions.

Temper your expectations, these reviews are out of control. The food was just okay, and took quite a while to come out. The chicken was low quality with lots of gristle, and was not properly seasoned- this went for the whole meal, everything was lacking flavor.Customer service was okay, but really could improve. The staff weren't rude or anything, just a bit stand-offish. Could be cultural differences. If there aren't any other options, then this place would be okay. This spot is not horrible, but it certainly won't blow your socks off like some of these reviews suggest.

Took a shot and hit the bullseye! Good location for all you want to do and see in the area. Clean! Very friendly and helpful staff! Good, hot breakfast with all typical offerings (fruit, yogurt, muffins, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, etc) and hot coffee available 24/7. Our room was a King with Sofa Bed - almost the size of 2 typical hotel rooms! While not cleaned every day during our stay (that's a thing of the past) fresh towels were offered and a quick housekeeping visit was done daily. We travel often, and closest to a return to the 'olden days' when the room was 'done up' daily we have experienced. Every staff member we encountered was professional and friendly. One elevator, but all that was needed and worked efficiently. The indoor pool was incredibly clean, with towels available poolside. It was refreshing after a long day at Monticello! BTW, GO TO MONTICELLO! Don't have to be a 'history n**** to appreciate it and to enjoy! Planning a trip to the area in the Spring and will return here!

This place is old and outdated for the money...Smells clean, but lacks deep cleaning-must buy a lot of air freshener! Stains everywhere and no compassion to customers at all...An associate named Dawn was amazing-she should go somewhere else to work in the area (too many better places around)...Too many places in the area are better for the same money...I do not like to leave bad reviews, but this place does not understand customer service....S

Our stay was pleasant. The beds were comfortable, the shower pressure was solid, and the breakfast was hot. The hotel could use an update/refresh but that didn’t detract from our stay. There were a few restaurants nearby when we stayed, but they were closed when we arrived (9 PM on a Friday).

Easy access from I-64. Staff was courteous. Large dining area. Food was acceptable for a hotel. If a traveler wants a gourmet meal, then go to a real restaurant! Stayed in nice King suite. Room was clean. Not much noise (located on 2nd floor across from elevator). There were no facial tissues in room, just an empty box holder. One small trash can in bathroom, none in main living area. Close to Monticello and downtown Charlottesville. Near retail shops (next to Burger King). Area around hotel seemed safe. Would stay again.
