Meh. Decided to give this place one more shot. Tried a grits bowl, and had high hopes for the stone-ground grits. But alas they were undercooked, watery, and overly salted. Result was a big gross watery mess, kind of like grit soup with an egg in it.

A great coffee shop with a nice selection of breakfast options! The Ethiopian coffee I had was truly exceptional, and the burrito we shared was excellent, featuring perfectly cooked eggs, potatoes, and fresh salsa. The staff were both helpful and friendly, making it a wonderful start to the day!

We just moved to VA, but we’ve had the opportunity to order Americano at numerous other coffee shops. This was by far the worst Americano we have ever tasted. I took a sip and was unable to drink it. That’s how bad it was. Food was subpar, at best. Tasteless and just not good. When I mentioned that the Americano does not taste good, I’ve got an attitude from the girl who made it. We will never go to this place again.

I'm confused as to why this place has under 4 stars. Is it a little rough around the edges? Sure. But the coffee is solid and the Townie (grits with chorizo) is hands down one of the best breakfasts I've ever had in my life. Anywhere. The pimento ham sandwich is also one to try. Do yourself a favor and skip the fancy brunch and git ur Grit on.

Sandwiches have been okay but prices are reasonable and it's a good quick spot on the mall especially weekdays before work. Tables available inside and outside
