In town for a funeral, looking for family dinner this place had good reviews. However, food was very highly valued. We were really disappointed with the lack of any flavor in the tacos, burritos, & fajitas we all had. I will say the queso was delicious. Drinks were ok. Service was ok, we didn’t get checked on until we flagged down our server BUT to be fair he had a lot of tables. We would go somewhere else next time, other Mexican restaurants were also recommended.

Went for lunch and ordered one of their lunch specials: 1 enchilada 1 tavo (both chicken) and beans and rice. They start you off with a basket of corn tortilla chips and salsa. This a legit Mexican restaurant. My food was pleasantly spicy. I like spicy foods. However, if you dont, you should ask if there are other options.

Good food, good service, and great price. The tables are huge! Wouldn’t recommend for a date but would definitely recommend for going out with family or group.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Charlottesville. Parking is abundant and prices were extremely reasonable pre pandemic. But no matter how early I order my carryout order it's never ready when I get there. Prices have also gone up extensively,a kids meal is $8 without any modifications and say goodbye to the lunch specials if those were your go-to because now they're just as expensive as any other entree on the menu. I spent over $15 the other day ordering a kids meal with a side of sour cream (a tiny 1 oz container of sour cream was almost $2 and they use Styrofoam of all things to store it) and a beverage. I don't mind paying $15 for an adult meal but a kid's meal, c'mon. Especially when you're asking me for a tip for carry out and making me wait for my order despite calling 25 minutes ahead in advance. The food is amazing though if these things are not issues for you.

I ordered the nachos texano and the questacos birria yesterday and I loved every bit of it ! Even down to the chips and salsa. The only thing that I ask is that for the nachos texano if you guys could add some seasoning to the shrimp.the veggies had more than enough seasoning which I loved but it just would have been nice for the shrimp to be seasoned .

Delicious tacos and drinks, the waitress messed up my order a bit at first (told no cilantro but still served me cilantro) but then quickly amended it with top tier service and attitude. Even if I didn’t get to try their beef tacos I was very satisfied of my time here.

Service still a little suspect but food was very good. Suaqueos very good... generous amount of tender meat on soft tortillas - chopped onions, sauce and cilantro. ( needed to be hotter, temperature wise) Only issue: on-line advertising "Happy Hour" but server said there was no happy hour... after conversations with others, they dud offer a discount on the check. All in all, pretty good.

First time eating here. Salsa was bland, the cheese dip was very thin and we had fajita quesadillas which had no seasoning at all.

We've enjoyed Mexican food here since moving to Cville 15 years ago.EDIT 1/15/2024 Stopped by our favorite place today for a quick lunch, and something wasn't right. As we walked in the front door noticed a smell like rancid cooking oil. Not just old, rancid. I thought that was odd, sat down and the waitstaff immediately brought out chips and salsa. I took one bite of a chip and it tasted rancid like the smell. The entire basket of chips smelled bad. We sent them back and the waitress said if we got more they would be from the same batch. We skipped the chips, ordered a lunch special and it was good as always. As we left, you could smell the rancid oil again. We didn't even get a response from the manager. Guad is one of our favorite places, however, today wasn't a good day at this location.
