The falafel wrap was okay since it isntoo dry, no veggies in there, and not enough sauce. BUT The Indian food here was not good, too spicy and greasy.It's not bad but not good either.
My friend brought me here for a quick eat, and this place was top notch. I ordered the chicken sandwich (medium heat) combo and it was amazing. The burgers were nashville hot chicken style burgers with pickles and coleslaw. I would say this competes with the best sandwiches I have ever had. Unlike most restaurants, here they served me with a massive juicy flavorful piece of chicken that protrudes beyond the legal limits of a burgers bun?. When I walked in I noticed a familiar friendly face. If you are a UVA student you probably would recognize the awesome guy who works the Halal Kitchen food truck. Little did i know, both halal kitchen and rice bowl express food trucks (wahoos go crazy for them) originate from this restaurant. The staff was so friendly and even gave both me and my friend complimentary mango lassi (also top notch). This restaurant has a very diverse menu where u can choose from three separate menus containing a variety of foods. I would recommend this place for everyone to come try. Overall, I absolutely loved my experience and will definitely be coming back soon!!

I’m a huge fan of Hangry Hut. I always get the butter chicken and it is sooooo good. The portions are great and the people are always super sweet. They also have a food truck at UVA and again it fabulous. Definitely would recommend.

We are really excited after trying hangry hut today. Combo chicken and gyro platters were great quality meat and flavoring. Nashville chicken was cooked perfectly and also tasty. I like that the gyro meat is the big chunks and also not greasy. We will definitely return!!

I tried their chicken fry and samosa. Samosa was good and cheap. However, I feel like fried chicken are overly salty. They can make it more flavourful, instead of using only salt and pepper in it. Still I will order from there because they are the only people who serve halal fried chicken near Charlottesville. Since, I would suggest to make some changes in the recipe of this fried chicken. At least pour less salt please.
