Went for lunch on a weekday. They weren't too busy and we were able to get a table and get our food without too much wait. We both ordered a pick two. I had a ham and brie wrap which was really good and a ceasar salad which was just okay. Overall the restaurant was neat and I will probably go again, but will not be ordering the salad again.Wheelchair accessibility: This is in a basement down some steps.

So good! Great spot for a tasty, unique, reasonably priced meal. We had a spinach salad, lamb curry soup, tomato soup, and crab and corn chowder at our table and all were excellent. Bonus: soups come with corn muffins, yum!

Unique soups and sandwiches! It was hard to decide bc everything on the menu looked amazing!I love they allow you to sample a soup upon request. After sampling 4 soups (all of which were AMAZING) I chose a small Potatoe Rosemary which was incredible! Also ordered the NAK burger which ranks up there with one of the best burgers I've ever had. My group got some sandwiches which they also loved (club and turkey apple). The corn muffins that come with the soup was also very good. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in Charlottesville.

A group of 6 friends went to grab a quick bite to eat last night and got there about 7:25pm. We were quickly told that they close at 8 so if we were dining in, we needed to hurry up and eat. So we ordered the food (all of us got half a wrap and a cup of soup) and sat down. There were several people who were turned away before 8 because the people working said the kitchen was backed up and made sure to let them know they closed at 8. As we were waiting the person who I assume was the manager, told the other lady working to go start stacking chairs and make sure to bang them loudly. So as we all sat there waiting, the one worker slammed chairs together as she stacked them, apparently to encourage us to never come back again, because that’s what we are going to do. I also have issues with loud sounds and it was giving me so much anxiety that by the time the food came, it was hard to enjoy it. We finally got our food with about 8 minutes to spare so we all inhaled everything and left. I think we were out of the door at 8:03pm. They were so rude and it was the WORST service any of us have ever received. It’s unfortunate because the food was delicious and my family has enjoyed getting take out from there on many occasions. I’ve never felt more disrespected as a paying customer in my life. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve worked in a restaurant before and I’m sure there were times I wanted to go home at the end of the day but we weren’t being rude or trying to take forever to eat, and I NEVER would’ve treated a customer the way they did.

This place was a hole in the wall that I only found due to Yelp and Maps. It is not wheelchair accessible as I found out the hard way. I ended up carrying my baby in the stroller down two flights of stairs to get there and barely was able to squeeze the stroller in between tables. I had to lift a few chairs out of the way to get him through. I was determined to get good soup, and the ratings said this was the best place. I got there right before the lunch rush yesterday. I was able to ask questions about ingredients for my allergies and decided on getting the 90s club on sourdough subbing mayo for the special sauce and a small cup of the crab and corn chowder. Man, I wish I got a bigger cup of that soup! It was amazing! The 90s club was a good standard club. Definitely would get it again, but nothing out of the ordinary.

It's like that super cozy unassuming dive bar you loved in college, but with delicious soups and sandwiches instead of PBR.Unpretentious but well-made and delicious food in a laid back space. Lots of options for dietary restrictions, and they serve half-wraps and soup/sandwich combos for those who have trouble choosing just one thing. The "classic combo", which I'm pretty sure used to be the "student combo" gets you a grilled cheese and small soup for like $8 - a steal these days. It's often super busy at lunch time but they're efficient and the line moves quickly.

Soup & burgers excellent! Cafeteria style service, a bit confusing if you've never been there. Wraps were okay. I would definitely go back for the soups alone!

Good food off the beaten path.. 60/70s university vibe with lots of unique wall art/furniture. Order at the counter and bus your own food like any good revolutionary!

Revolution Soup was a culinary high point of our short stay in Charlottesville. Quick to the counter, ease of ordering, great selection of ready made soups, short wait for salads and sandwiches, plenty of seating.
