This place specializes in distilling rum and they do it extremely well. Hopefully the owner will read this and correct me but I believe they even have 3 different types of gin based on a rum distillate. This is a small Distillery with all of their products being very well done and could be considered a sipping type Rum that really doesn't need a mixer. I really liked the maple barrel aged rum and I purchased bottles of the Anisette, Orange and Maple Cream liquors,

We had a fantastic evening with Vitae Spirits owner, Ian Glomski. He is SUCH a nice guy, not to mention brilliant and interesting! Ian gave us a short primer on distilling then taught us a Mixology 101 class that was a blast. The Vitae Spirits rums and gins were all delicious. Perhaps the favorite was the Pain Suppression (like a Pain Killer TM); absolutely delicious! We then each had a turn behind the bar making a kind of drink in 3 different ways (super dry, middle, very sweet). It was fascinating to see how the balance of the drink and the quality of the spirit impacted the drinks. The distillery and store are clean and classy; what a great place to hangout with friends and learn a new skill. THANK YOU, IAN! We'll be back soon. Cheers!

This was a very awesome place to stop in for drinks, the service was amazing and the cocktails were to die for. I got the "if a tree fails” refreshing can really taste the peach and blackberry. I’m not usually a gin fan but that was dope!!

Had a chance to visit this distillery. The area is pretty downtown, it is on the corner of a busy area but we were able to park in front and walk right in. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We had a larger party of 9. We were instantly greeted and given water without asking. We tried different flights. All of their liquor and mixed drinks had different flavors in it which I wasn't used to. For example some may have vanilla, pineapple, etc. When I have gone to distilleries typically you only get flavor from the barrels not like infusions. So I wasn't used to that. The customer service was great though and D was extremely patient with the party that I was with.

My husband and I had a great time sampling spirits, cocktails, and a "poptail" at Vitae's downtown location on Wednesday, 5/28. We enjoyed everything that we had and talking to the staff. We brought home the smoked distiller's reserve rum and orange liqueur. The passion fruit daiquiri poptail was like a fla-vor-ice for grown ups and the rum riff on a Penicillin was so interesting. They also have spirit free versions of the pops for those brining kiddos. The also told us where to find Vitae near us and that we can order online.
