“This place is a hidden GEM! The people here are super friendly, and the Jamaican food here is the most genuine I have found in the Norfolk, VA Beach, and Chesapeake area combined. The Ox tails here are priced exceptionally well for the amount of food you get. I actually save money if I want to eat Ox tails. The Curry Goat is also phenomenal! I can't believe I don't hear more about this place. Spread the word!“

“The Jamaican food is absolutely the best in the 757. It's a small convenience store with Jamaican take out. The store may not look the best but the food is amazing! The best oxtails and mac'n cheese I've had at a Jamaican spot. The oxtails are tender and the mac'n cheese is seasoned well. The price for the large oxtails is affordable too!“
“The authentic Guyanese food is absolutely incredible and the fact that it's vegan is even better! Anyone would enjoy it regardless of dietary preferences. The staff are so kind. “OMG! Best fried chicken livers in this area! They were fried to perfection and the seasoning was superb! Top them off with awesome coleslaw and melt in your mouth hushpuppies! The portions were huge and I will have to make two meals out of them which is wonderful! I had the awesome banana pudding and my boyfriend had the bread pudding. Both were sooooooo good! The service was friendly and speedy! Billy D's will be a regular for us! We can hardly wait to try some of his other food! (Sweet potato jack next time!) Trust me, you will not be disappointed!“

“We came in right after opening on Taco Tuesday! We were greeted by Nick. He is amazing. Nick was positive and upbeat. He acted as our Host, Server, and Bar Tender. He deserves a raise. Our food was fresh and delicious. As was our drinks. The atmosphere of the restaurant was appealing. The only reason why I didn’t leave 5 stars is bc of the restroom. Being as though we came right at opening. The restroom was disgusting. I can only assume that I wasn’t cleaned the night before. However it looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned before ever! So there’s that.“
“The food was really good and the bartender was very nice and helpful. The place is very chilled and laid back. Here you can eat, play pool, gambling machines, drink and watch games. Here people come to socialize and just have a good time. They play good music from a music jukebox. I was disappointed because, I spent forty-five dollars on the music jukebox to pick and play great songs for the entire evening. The customers loved the music list I was picking and playing from the music jukebox. The music jukebox stop playing the music, you couldn't hear the music in the speakers surrounding the place. The nice bartender tried to help and fix the problem but she started to get slammed at the bar with lots of people.“

That's part of the risk you take. Even God took a day of rest. The only thing that matters is the jerk chicken. I've never even ordered anything other than that. Why mess with perfection? Idek why they got other things on the menu.“
