“Never knew this place was here until someone recommended it to me. Finally had the chance to stop today for lunch and was very impressed. The lady who runs it and makes your food is very friendly and fast. I had the barbecue sandwich and french fries and devoured it. Had to go back in to try a taco which was one of the best street style tacos around in my opinion. Fresh cooked steak with cilantro and onions and sauces to go with it. Every time I'm in this area for work I will be stopping in to try something new ?“
“I love the food here and the little grocery store. I have been coming here for years and have no complaints. Sometimes the lines are little long and wait is longer on busier days but not too bad. I have noticed that Friday seems to be the busiest day so avoid Friday especially in the evening if you want fast service. I saw another review complaining they didn't have hard taco shells and the language barrier. The sign says "authentic Mexican food" hard tacos are not authentic. Do not come here expecting taco bell lol. If you would order what is actually on the menu there wouldn't be much trouble with a language barrier. I don't speak much spanish myself and have never had an issue. If you want REAL and delicious tacos and maybe a snack afterwards I would recommend this place. But if you want a hard shell taco with ground beef just go to Taco Bell lol. 10/10 place will continue to come here.“
“An A+ for atmosphere, food, and service. I did a Google search and saw $4.00 tacos and thought hey, well, give it a go. It was worth the stop and a return visit. The inside is small, with more bar seating and outdoor seating. It's a natural vibe, I must say. Artwork is something to see. The drink menu has cute names. Now, let me get into the tacos. It is freshly made and worth the wait. I had black bean tacos and shrimp—the black tastes newly made, with no can, toppings, and fresh cuts. And the local hot sauce is the best combination to top it off.Shrimp is only on Wednesday and Thursday after 6 pm.“

There is an ample selection of tasty food and even better drinks. The staff was friendly & helpful- addressing every inquiry while choosing a mezcal. They have the best tequila selection I’ve come across so far (many additive free options). I’ve already recommended it to anyone who will listen ? and I will definitely return as well.“
“I was recently invited to go to Sanctuary Norfolk. It was my first time visiting this Sports Pub and Taco Joint. I was pleasantly surprised.. This place has a very friendly Atmosphere, both the Local clientele and Staff.. Rob our bartender took time to demonstrated the bottoms up beer dispensing system, which as the name implies, fills your draft beer glass from the bottom up, resulting in a perfect pour. I was most impressed, as I had never seen one of these before. Rob took our order, I ordered BBQ Chicken Taco’s, they were most delicious.. I highly recommend them. To our surprise they had two Foozball tables. I haven’t seen a decent Foozball table in an establishment in years.. Our party played several games of Foozball, we ate delicious Taco’s and had a couple perfect pour draft beers.. We had a great time... The place had a nice clientele, but wasn’t so busy that Rob wasn’t able to play us a game or two of Foozball in between taking care of his customer. I enjoyed playing Fooz, with Rob, although I was no real competition for Him, as he easily beat me. But, I didn’t do to bad, I think he was sandbagging some or else I think I might have lost worse than I did. Overall, I really liked this place, the Staff and the food were great, I will be going back... I understand they have Taco Tuesday Foozball Tournaments, for anyone looking for a place to play.. Rene Pierre tables just like the old days.“
“Very rarely do I leave a review, but this place DESERVES to be reviewed AND visited. Service is extremely friendly and welcoming. As for the tacos...simply WOW!!! Anyone who enjoys a good taco absolutely NEEDS to visit here. Doesn't matter which tacos you get...they are all amazing.I only caution that you use the red salsa sparingly IF you don't like things overly spicy. It definitely caught me by surprise. Not complaining one bit; simply stating that I was NOT prepared.10 out of 10 WILL VISIT AGAIN!!!“
“Server was very attentive, we went Saturday afternoon around 130 and they were not busy. The drinks were delicious. I had the out of this world (pictured) and the coco Rita! The mahi tacos were good! Other half got the club taco & said it was pretty good. 2"we also got the Al pastor taco that was decent. Their house hot sauces are delightful. Very aesthetic bar! Glad you can choose a corn or flour base for any taco.“
