We were visiting VA for a soccer tournament and picked this place from a list provided by the hotel. The place is spacious, vibrant and Spanish music playing in the background. The server was nice and brought nachos and salsa dip to the table. Kids loved the dip. We order margaritas on the rocks but did not have enough alcohol. The drink taste like pure juice. The food was ok, I expected better taste. The prices were reasonable.What I didn’t like was the old fashioned receipt system they have in place. It created confusion as to what each person order to tally the bill between the families. Coming from the State of New Jersey where the bills are itemized and very detailed, it was definitely chaotic to split the bill.

This was my first visit and there will be more.I was pleasantly surprised because I’m not a connoisseur of Mexican food, but I do like it from time to time.Yesterday I got the burrito deluxe one with chicken, one with beef, and they accommodated my extra ingredients and it was very good. I hope this will be the customary dining experience here.The food looked good and tasted good, and I was very pleased with the overall experience. I might even say that it was a little better than some of the places I have been in the past. The waiter was fast and very good and the food came out quickly.This place hasn’t been open very long and I really really hope they do not lose their sparkle as many places do.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. waitress served every table that wasn’t of color but mine. advertised $3 margaritas online but charged me $10 for mine. rolled her eyes at me when i confronted her about my drink price. when i asked her about the price she said $5.99, but my check said

I am very disappointed the food was amazing but I was charged 75.25. I left a tip in cash and next I woke up this morning and seen that they added a 20 dollar tip to my check without my permission

This might be my new favorite Mexican restaurant in the Trip Cities!! The white dip is yummy , and the huge portions are hot and arrive fast. Fun atmosphere. Delicious food. Excellent service. Good location ?

Met up with a friend and had appetizers and drinks while we chatted. The queso was a bit small, but tasty. The guacamole was very good and the tortillas were freshly made.
Food is always amazing and fresh. The table side guacamole is incredible. Highly recommend Casa Don Jose.
