This was our 2nd visit. Our 1st visit was delightful, that's why we returned. However, the smothered chicken and biscuits were distasteful on this visit. Chicken strips were crunchy and dark brown, and biscuits were so hard they crumbled like crackers. The server alerted us that they had changed some of the menu items, and they have been a lot of complaints since then. They definitely need to change the menu back. We were refunded our money though.

Wouldn’t return. I went in alone and was treated differently. Another gentleman ate alone the waitress made sure to keep checking on him. The food was awful the waitress didn’t even ask me what was wrong or try to replace it. I left and still had to eat elsewhere. I believe the waitress needs more training and the food can definitely be better. Don’t order the crab eggrolls or shrimp and grits I couldn’t even eat it. Also the severs was just slamming food down on table

GrubHub driver my first time delivering there was yesterday. I spoke with staff and they were polite, they have very fast service. The cafe is a place that produce southern meals.The most popular meal is Shrimp and Grits, which is a southern dish that never goes out of style. Another popular dish is the chicken and waffles, and the biscuit meals.
Go ahead and put this in ur gps. Was welcomed with warm smiles and food was so delicious. Didn’t wait long at all. Good portions too for the price it is. Don’t have mimosas but they are working on it. Shrimp and Grits filled me up and I had to take left overs. Green fried tomatoes were perfect. Been looking for green fried tomatoes for the longest that would hit the spot and they did it. I’ll definitely come here again.

Went on a Sunday around 2:20 p.m. Slow start our waitress lacked checking on us, asking if we needed anything. We had to ask for napkins about 5 times. Workers standing around engaged in conversations with each other. The food was amazing especially the sweet potato waffle. The run out of the Crab shrimp rolls my party of 2 was disappointed. Chicken wings were way to GREASY(grease spilling out when cracking the chicken to eat).
The food was fantastic! I have a high tolerance for salty food. That said, in my opinion, the fried chicken was top notch. If you are sensitive to salty food, you may not agree. The biscuits were absolutely perfect.
