Cherokee Wedding PackageWow! Truly unbelievable and majestic venue and the venue coordinators were absolutely the best to work with. We booked the Cherokee package for our 128 person wedding. The venue is such a hidden gem. I don't know how more people aren't aware of this stunning place. Lindsay was our site coordinator and she was unbelievably competent, assertive, sweet to work with. Under Lindsay's guidance the last year you can tell that Rassawek has really come into their own as an extraordinary wedding/reception venue in central VA. Can't say enough nice things about the people there. We loved the package options and thought that there was a TON of value for us with the tent, tables, chairs, and cabins provided. The photos for the property speak for themselves. My advice to engaged couples about the venue: Rassawek is beyond flexible and allow you to bring your own vendors which we Loved! We were able to make our wedding out own. Realize you will need to book your own vendors Cell service is limited, Ubers and Lyfts are likely not a viable plan A, be sure to get reliable transportation back and forth. The day usually comes with a bathroom truck and that was huuuge since it was so convenient. Can't say enough great things about the people and venue. Thank you Rassawek for being the place of our wedding!

Never open And no one ever answers the phone. It's literally a waste of time to drive out there to see that they're closed every single time. At this point I'm just leaving a one star review so that someone sees it because I can't get through on the phone.

Wreath making class: class is fun but overall a money grab. They provide greenery, some of which may have been picked last Christmas. The $5 credit for a bow or decor is a joke for stuff that's marked up at least 300%. Next year will do wreath class at nonprofit such as Maymont.

Words can not describe the absolute beauty of Rassawek. My daughter took to the wreath making event for my birthday. I was a bit intimidated in the beginning, but the great vounteers/staff helped me to create my beautiful wreath.

Horrible...no one managed parking in or out. Waiting now over and hour. Will be hours. Came for rodeo and spent longer in traffic. HORRIBLE planning.
What a surprise. The place was wonderful.We attended the rodeo event and it reminded us of the Field Days of the Past.Easy parking and lines to get food and wine from vendors were short.Had a wonderful afternoon and will stop in for a wine visit soon.

Rassawek is simply stunning! I love the restored buildings that are completely furnished with period appropriate pieces. The train cars are spectacular! I've never seen anything like this, and they have every amenity needed to make your stay a memorable experience! You can't go wrong by visiting Rassawek, whether it is for a wedding, to attend the spring or fall festivals, or to just enjoy a unique getaway!All of the staff are friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend a visit to this unexpectedly wonderful place!

Wow, the Spring Jubilee and the Fall Festival were absolutely outstanding this year! The property is incredibly beautiful, and there were so many things to do and look at. Hundreds of vendors, countless food trucks, antiques, displays, free boat rides, pig racing, rodeo, helicopter rides. We will definitely be back. Great fun and something for everyone to enjoy.

My friend & I were looking forward to having a great experience at the Rassawek Fall Festival today & ended up being yelled at OBNOXIOUSLY by a rather large parking attendant. My friend was following the vehicle ahead of us ,slowly & safely, when this person starts waving us over to him. So she follows his hand motions only to be yelled at that he "Wasn't trying to get run over." And "To Pay Attention". We were not near him, just merely following HIS INSTRUCTIONS. We almost turned around & left but decided not to let one person ruin our day. My friend is an Albemarle County School bus driver w/ many years experience. She can follow rules & directions easily. After many years of attending rodeo at Oakland Farm, we've NEVER had this issue. I believe the parking staff NEEDS MORE TRAINING. And NOT YELLING at customers would be a bonus. Otherwise, it was a great RODEO.
