Got wrong food, then got replacement of the right food, but food was cold and there appeared to be water in the plate. The plate was hot.

Never been to el agave , but went there for lunch . My wife got a Plato Jalisco something like that . The steak was not season whatsoever . I got a burrito but it was okay . Me being a hispanice, I figured the food was be good. But the steak was just so bland . The service was just meh. Had one waitress but she seemed so behind on things . Idk if the gentlemen there was the manager but he definitely needs to learn how to be a manager .

This place is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to food quality. The food taste very cheap and looks cheap. Bland and flavorless. You can tell the beans and rice comes from a bag or box. The meat was dry tasting. If you think this is quality Hispanic food then you don't know Hispanic foods. It's like all these spanish restaurants got together and followed so sort of cheap formula. You're better off at a food truck!!!!! Trust me on this!!!!

This is the sixth & newest addition to the El Agave restaurant empire, & since we've enjoyed meals at their other locations, finally decided to give this one a try for an Election Day lunch. Weather was lovely, so dining on their umbrella'd patio was extremely pleasant. We first went inside to let them know that we would be dining on the patio, & retrieved our menus & napkin-wrapped silverware. Within minutes, warm fresh tortilla chips & a nice spicy semi-chunky salsa were brought out to us. I also ordered & enjoyed their "Lunch Margarita" ($4.29), which is served in a smaller glass, yet was definitely not "dumbed down" at all - an appropriate amount of ice & a perfect ratio of tequila to mix. Not strong enough to send you reeling back to the office (if you had to go back to one), but enough to let you know that yes, you were having a cocktail.Mr. Breezy ordered one of his favorites, their "Quesadillas de Camarones" (aka Shrimp Quesadilla, $14.39), which came with lettuce, tomato, sour cream, & guacamole, which was huge & overstuffed with lots of nice-size very tender shrimp. It was delicious, & he ended up taking about 1/3 of it home. I went with what I normally order about 95% of the time I visit Mexican restaurants - "Chicken Enchiladas Verdes", consisting of two nicely-seasoned shredded white-meat chicken enchiladas topped with green tomatillo sauce & cheese, & accompanied by large portions of very nicely seasoned refried beans & yellow rice tweaked with peas & yellow corn kernels ($12.99). It was absolutely delicious, & I, too, ended up taking some of it home. If I had to ding them on anything, it was that although my plate was mad-hot, the food itself was a bit on the lukewarm side. Not cool enough to send back, but noticeable. Our server was delightful! Bright, personable, accommodating without being cloying, & just looked happy to be there, which frankly can be a hard thing to pull off as waitstaff - lol!Bottom Line: Total after tax but before tip was $34.47 & worth every penny. A very delightful lunch & we'll definitely be back.
