We went here with family in the summer last year and had the best time with the owner, so we came here again today with other family members and spent a lot of money on drinks, we went next door to eat food and decided to go back to the bar for one last drink before going home but as we entered decided it was to busy so left through the back exit to our car which we thought was public car parking as there was no signs to state otherwise. As we were walking down the stairs I was attacked by some man who works at the pub accusing me of doing drugs in the toilet which shocked me and then accused us of parking in a place where everyone knows is for locals even though we are from England and there’s no signs anywhere stating otherwise. I was so shocked by the aggressive attack that I will never go back here.

Highly enjoyable lunch during the week here. Excellent service, everything was great. Lunch prices were fair. Quite a few daily special options. Note: they do have coffee in case you're in need..lolVegetarian options: Pretty limited on the veg options at lunch - there was a pasta and maybe an app or two, and side salad.

What can I say about Grass Rootes.. there is so MUCH!! We will miss Andrew but Kelly taking over has brought a fresh new atmosphere!!! When we are there Kelly is so busy. She still makes time to welcome you with a smile!! Love what your doing to the place!! The servers are always attentive and quick!! The food ?? WOW!!! If you haven't yet you HAVE to get the Fig & Pig Flatbread !!! The soups are fresh and tasty!! My steaks are always perfectly made to my liking!! The stuffed figs wrapped in bacon was AMAZING!! I don't even like figs! Thanks to our server and his high recommendations i have a new fave!!! I have to have my server pick for me more often!!

Just had our first brunch at Grass Rootes!!! I am very OCD when it comes to what I eat. However at Grass Rootes I had so MANY wonderful options to choose from. The cinnamon bun pancakes are a MUST have!!! Thank you Kelly for introducing new menu items!! Such a refreshing break from the old set in place menu!! You can feel the love and care as soon as you walk through the doors!!! 5 stars all the way

My first time at Grass RootesWent there for lunch with my daughter. I got the Vegetable Pasta, and my daughter got the Chicken Salad sandwich, and we got a house salad. Bread is brought to the table when you are seated. Everything was delicious The staff checked on us often to make sure everything was okay, and if we needed anything else, I will definitely be going back ?

Okay this is a uniquely awesome place. First it has dinning very casual but elegant with moderately priced menu. Fireplace...check. sofas...check...cleanliness...check...candlelight glow...of course! Then there's Kelly that runs the place hands on ownership participating with all that it takes to keep the doors open. Live music too seriously. And an outdoor fireplace too! Oh and a bar...it literally has it all and the coffee is amazing! Found a local hang out spot for sure!

Went there on a Saturday morning on a lark. We were asked if we had reservations, but we were still accommodated. Host was friendly and helped us get into a booth. The server said that brunch was new to them so we didn't have a high expectation. The coffee tasted good and the Bloody Mary, medium pepper, was mixed well (but little vodka taste). My father asked for his grits to come early, they did but they were cold. He ordered an omelette and it was prepared completely different from what he asked. Our potatoes o Brian were not o Brian; they were basic over roasted with no seasoning. My sausage and biscuits were ok but wouldn't order again. The manager was nice and came to apologize and took the omelette dish off the bill. Overall it was a nice atmosphere but will not return for Brunch.
