Best bbq I’ve had in ages, and I’m sad I don’t live closer. The sauce has the perfect smoky, hint of spice, and sweet. Everything was so good. Even the sweet tea (which I got half n half) was done well. Exceptional food in a cute atmosphere. If I’m ever in Culpeper, I know where I’ll be going.

Absolutely the best place in town! The food is out of this world! When we are in town this place is definitely our go to every time! You can’t beat the prices and I can’t say enough on how amazing the food is! The place was packed but you could still carry on a conversation with no problem, the noise level was at a minimum. This place is a must!

This is a small place however it was very clean. The staff was outstanding extremely friendly and professional. The barbecue was phenomenal. I enjoyed the brisket along with the sausage. My only complaint would be the side dishes. I ordered the baked beans thinking they would be traditional however, they were not. Also, I wish the side dishes where a little larger. This is a good place to take a date. The prices were great.Parking: There were a few spots right in front of the restaurant. Public parking lots are a very short walk from the restaurant.

We have eaten at Uncle Elders several times and love the food as well as the friendly atmosphere. It isn't a fancy restaurant, but suits the casual dining experience.Parking: Some parking on the street, a small parking lot across the street.
My wife was in Culpepper recently for her job and while there her travelling companion and co-worker had several meals at Uncle Elder's. When she got back home, she raved about how good the food was and told me that we needed to go up to Culpepper sometime so that I could try the food. Well, we did just that. We drove 1 1/2 to 2 hours to have lunch at Uncle Elder's. The foo was good and considering how busy the waitress was, the service was good. However, I did not think that it worth driving 1 1/2 to 2 hours in order to have a meal at Uncle Elder's. If for some reason we happen to be in Culpepper again, it might be worth giving them another try.

The real winner here is the food vs price ratio. The food is better than decent and the price is great. They haven't got hung up in cheating people like everyone else. Highly recommend.
