Not sure what is going on with this business. I loved NuVegan when I lived in Richmond until it abruptly closed. Now the same thing is happening here. I came in today 3/16/24 at 7:50pm and the store is now closed. No signs or anything but there are reviews from 3 days ago??? Unfortunately I cannot support them anymore.

The food was bomb. The Mac and cheese is off the chain. And I love the fish and crab cakes. The greens are good as well. So is the sweet potato casserole. Also tried the biscoff muffin and that was fire. I’ll be back again and

I am a vegan and want this place to be good but it just isn't and I feel like I need to warn I everyone. I ordered from them a few times on DoorDash hoping that they would be better this time but they just kept getting worse. The food is not great. It is mostly soggy and lacking flavor and they got my order wrong every time. I kept giving them another chance because I want good vegan food available in DoorDash but this isn't it. The last time I ordered they just took my money and sent only a small fraction of the food I ordered. When I didn't get my food I called NuVegan and they promised to send the rest of my food but they never did. They forced me to get a partial refund through DoorDash so I wound up paying all the fees and tip to my dasher for a sad little container of soggy flavorless macaroni.

We have been to this location a few times, but today (2/12/24) will likely be the last visit. The food selection is minimal—it says brunch is available online, but the girl at the counter gave me an annoyed look when I asked if it was available. She said no, it’s not been available for a while. I asked if the NuVegan rewards were still available and she said, no sorry.When I arrived, no one acknowledged me. No apology after I’d been standing there at least 3 minutes with no one else around.When I ordered, the girl serving me seemed to hate her job. I tried to engage her to be kind, and she mumbled or didn’t even respond to some of my comments/questions. I try to always give the benefit of the doubt to servers, but she really didn’t seem interested in being there or serving.The reason I’m giving more stars than I could is because the food—minimal selection as it was—was actually quite good. Not super fresh, but flavorful. I hope someone reads this review, but it seems they aren’t being seen or acknowledged. I’m afraid this location will not be around much longer if it continues in this way.

The drummies is never is fresh tasting. Love a vegan place but this is not the best. The never have the BBQ ribs, and are out of stuff most of the time.

As much as I have enjoyed their food since they opened, the girl that was working there today 01/27/24 around 3pm has made me never want to order from there again. Her customer service is so horrible. She doesn't greet you, she doesn't say you're welcome, she just looks like she hates being there and like she hates every customer just as much. I went in to pick up an order for myself today and she was so dismissive and just looked so bitter and miserable. An hour later I took my niece to pick up another order for herself, and when she came back out to the car she tells me that the girl looked her up and down and started whispering to one of the workers in the neighboring cafe. Just such a nasty, mean girl attitude. Personally, I wont ever eat there again or recommend them to anyone any further. I'll even go as far as to advise AGAINST eating there to anyone who asks.

Weird atmosphere. Seems like everyone was forced to work there. Food was horrible. I couldn’t finish and left feeling sick. This is not healthy food— you’d probably be better off eating at McDonald’s.

I'm sad to see all of the bad reviews because this was by far some of the best vegan food I've had. The we're out of what we wanted to order but I'm not even mad. We got the fish sandwich, crab cakes, beans, potato salad and collard greens, all of which were phenomenal. I see complaints about the staff but I was very friendly to her and not upset that they were out of items seeing as they were close to closing. I tipped well and she gave us extra fish (my favorite) on the side and happily gave us extra tarter sauce for free. She was kind and working hard by herself. I NEED that fried fish recipe in my life!
Always go to the Richmond location and it's top notch. This one? Not so much. How do you not have mac and cheese? Unacceptable.Wish I had read the reviews before coming here. This is a delayed review, a few weeks ago, took the auto train from Lorton, VA to Florida and had a couple hours to fill before departure so we looked up Vegan places and found a few in the area, we chose 2 to visit and NuVegan was the 2nd stop.
I've come across other NuVegan locations in my travels along the east coast, this was the first time giving it a try and it was a lot of fun! The Mac n cheese was soo creamy and yummy, my partner liked the collard greens a lot (I'm still just not a fan in general myself) and the fried chick'n unfortunately wasn't very warm, even a bit cold inside but the overall taste and texture was very good, just needed another few minutes in the oven.
The food hall was lively and the young guy serving at NuVegan was super nice. We would definitely try NuVegan again.

unmanned counters, i've stood at the counter for 10 minutes multiple times without an employee in site. too many little kids work there who are never around and don't know how to follow a recipe.food use to be good now when it first came to woodbridge IMO, now it's unseasoned and not worth it. Mac and cheese is bland and that's so disappointing.if you've been to the nuvegan restaurants in DC and Maryland and think you're going to get the same quality and experience, don't. If the owner or manager is seeing this.

Like many other reviewers, I loved their DC location. The service here is appalling. The staff DO NOT want to cook food to order and actively try to dissuade you from ordering burgers. You need to work on hiring/training staff that GAF. Food quality is also much lower than at the DC location. Disappointing.
