Have been to this location several times before, but on this particular occasion I experienced the worst service I had ever received! The bartender/waitress was not very aware or engaged with any of the customers in the bar area. She was much more interested in whoever or whatever was on her phone!She never asked or refilled my empty water glass and also did not bring the beer I requested from her.My tip for her would be to find a new line of work, where maybe she could work from her phone! ? #NotGoodKid-friendliness: Although I know people do and seem to love bringing their kids here, it's not an appropriate or ideal place for kids.

This Applebee's is a joke, I Order the chicken fajita roll-up with the grilled chicken not that fajita chicken they messed that all the way up so I called an complained. They said I could come an get it replaced just for them to do the same thing. Then try to convince me it was grilled chicken I can tell the difference. As well this is a restaurant not no club the music shouldn't be so loud that you can't hear the person in front of you. An it's not clean at all. I do believe the CEO of this company should do a undercover boss intervention because if not in 1-2more yrs it will be shut down. This place is nasty, the manager is rude an act like she doesn't need to help out she just stands by an try to look pretty. I call corporate bout this an they said someone would reach out but of course they never did. I recommend Roanoke, Martinsville, or Greensboro Applebee's atmosphere is way better, the food is better an way cleaner. Never will I go to this club/restaurant again. Do better CEO

When we arrived there was a huge birthday party going on so I expected thing to be a bit slower than usual and I was okay with that. We ordered our drinks and although the waitress wrote down what we asked for, she still came back 3 times to clarify. We ordered a beer, a mtn dew, and 2 waters. She came back a fourth time to tell us they didn't have the liquor needed for the beer (Devils Backbone) which confused us so my husband changed it to a margarita. We ordered an appetizer to share, Mac and cheese, and my husband wanted two appetizers as his entree. They brought out all 3 appetizers first. We figured there wad confusion again and rolled with it. My Mac and cheese came out 30 minutes later. The plate was very very hot and the food was extremely dry. They didn't bring us any silverware and when the waitress came over the next time, she told us they ran out. I ultimately asked for the bill and a to go box for my Mac n cheese. This was a horrible first experience at this restaurant and I will not ever be back. You've been warned lol

3/7/24 - EDIT - Updated from 1 star to 3 star.Management reached out to me and was an absolute pleasure to communicate with. They rectified the situation and I am very thankful for that......Last night was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in my life. My husband and I are joining others for dinner and we seat ourselves around 6:40pm. No one visits our table to check in, take drink orders, nothing for at least 20 minutes. Our waitress either seemed brand new or like she absolutely did not care about her job. After a 20 minute wait for drinks, we waited another 10-15 minutes for her to come back and take our order. She revisited the table TWICE to ask others about what they ordered. Drinks that were ordered from the bar were made and literally sat on the bar counter for at least 10+ minutes before our waitress was reminded to get them.. if we didn't ask for them I don't know when she would have remembered. No refills were provided during our entire meal, she never even offered. Drinks cost $3.39!!Another issue we had, when our food finally arrived to the table we were still without any silverware. When our waitress brought the food we asked for some. 5 minutes pass, then 10, then 15, and finally my husband got up and went to ask for silverware.. he was told it was being rolled and someone would bring some. Ridiculous! We literally need it unrolled to eat our meals that are now cold. Anyway.... After about a 20 minute wait we are brought freshly rolled up silverware. The food was exactly as expected for Applebee's, edible but not great and in no way, shape, or form worth the prices they charge. $17 for tiny tenders on microwaved penne Mac n Cheese, and $14 for a chicken salad.. oh, they also forgot things! My husband's dish was missing the bacon and my salad was not served with the bread stick on the side. At this point we just wanted to leave as soon as we could. Bacon and a bread stick would absolutely not make up for our waitresses awful service. I even overheard someone (maybe the manager) apologize to the table behind us so I don't think it was just our table experiencing a bad night. It was past 8:30 when we got out bill and were paying.. surprisingly our waitress was super attentive when the checks came out and she actually got them processed in a matter of minutes. When she returned with the receipts to sign she stayed by the table and waited for us to sign and hand them back. It was definitely awkward at that point but I absolutely left a low, low tip because that is all she deserved. Thinking back now, she probably didn't even deserve that to be honest. She made it a point to wait for signed receipts and then looked them over to check out the tip section. Absolutely appalling behavior. We finally leave just before 9pm and we will NEVER go back. The biggest thing that stands out to me?.. not once did our waitress apologize for the waits, or for forgetting anything, nothing. No sincerity and no care about the service she provided. Do better.

Writing this review, I'm not one to complain but the service me and my girlfriend received last night was just awful. After waiting nearly 15 minutes for a table, I figured it was excusable because the restaurant APPEARED to be pretty packed. When we were seated in the back corner and I got a good view, I realized that we were probably just being ignored by the host. Our server, whose name I will keep to myself, took 20 minutes just to ask us what we wanted to drink. Well, she didn't really ask anything, she just walked up to the table and held her notepad and pen out. By that time we already know what we would like to order. So she took our tab back with drinks and food. Cool, until we had to wait another 15 minutes for watered down sweet tea. Two ladies who I believe were managers came and checked on us, one offered new drinks and we accepted, thinking maybe the food would be good enough to excuse the wait. The ribs were OK, the fries were the best part of my meal. My girlfriend ordered some type of chicken breast topped with shrimp, she says the flavor was there but the texture of the shrimps and chicken were nearly identically mushy. I tried her plate and can confirm that to be accurate. We enjoyed our appetizer, but that's about all. Pretty much had to ring ourselves up, because our server was too busy talking in the kitchen for another 20 minutes to even clear our check out. We had to get up from our table and stand next to a POS system by the bar to be noticed. Ended up leaving thirsty and without to go boxes. I don't like how our server wasn't attentive during the whole visit, but as soon as our receipt prints showing a tip she runs from the kitchen and takes it from my hand. Left no tip, I'd rather had given the two ladies who checked on us 5$ each.

The worst service I’ve received ever. Only time in life I didn’t leave a tip cause I felt like I didn’t have a waiter.
I had the half rack of ribs with fries. I received 4 ribs which were approximately 4" long joined together. All the photos on the menu indicated there would be 6 ribs. This was a very sad offering and absolutely not worth the $18 they charged for it. Maybe the kitchen staff was hungry! The service was good though, but I left hungry after a $50 bill for my wife and I.

Service is impersonal polite but unprofessional, untrained, lackadaisical.Late afternoon drinks and appetizer that could have morphed into dinner. Martini barely acceptable pour, gin and tonic OK, Pepsi ordered, water resulted.Spinach and something mysterious dip took three quarters of an hour “to find”. Barely acceptable mishmash of mystery ingredients.Chips served with the “dip” were 1/2 inch crumbles and absolutely rancid , literally rancid ! “We can’t find the other part of the appetizer”. But price was not adjusted from the outrageous $12 charge.Will not return ever! A disgrace to a formerly dependable American eatery .
