“Been to a few wineries in the area...and BY FAR, you guys knocked it outta the park! What a great wine tasting with superb wines! And your young lady manager really made us feel so comfortable! Side note: brought out 16 yr old Chihuahua boy inside for a few minutes and took him to the wolf...he snuggled right in to his ancient ancestors! 5 stars doesn't even touch...what a great wine stop! You should feel very proud of yourselves! Thank you!”

“Great place to stop and grab a beer. The pizza is also really good. Awesome outdoor areas for kids to play and disc golf. I knew it was going to be our go to beer place when the kids started to ask to go there!”

“Missed breakfast, but made it for lunch. Looking at some of the pics, noticed they also had a little wine section and we could.get Mimosas, so off we went. I got the sweet piggy on sour dough with the dill Pickle paata.and my friend got a Ranchero wrap toasted panini style. We also got a mango and pomegranate Mimosa. Everything was delicious! The Cafe is really cute. Decor is nice and homey. There is a section in the back to hang out with a laptop and work while in the free wifi. We ended up getting 3 bottles of wine at $8 each while we were there. Great outdoor seating as well. The staff were extremely helpful. I was a fabulous lunch.”

“My wife and I stopped by while staying in a little tinyhouse air bnb nearby, and the food here is amazing. I was so excited to see tamales as they are weirdly hard to come by where I am from. The atmosphere is like being at your friends aunts neighborhood taqueria - casual, friendly, and homey. Next time we come through this state we will be sure to grab food here again!”

“I would absolutely give this place more than 5 stars if I could. Super cute, plenty of seating, very friendly staff, ample parking in the lot across the street. Of course, none of this would matter if the bread and pastries weren't amazing - and they ARE. I tend to like their savory offerings more than the sweet, but I think that's a personal preference. The scones are terrific, especially the bacon cheddar. The brekkie is fantastic and even better heated up. The coffee is good as well. Treat yourself - it's a gem!!”

“It’s a bad habit, but I eat a scoop of ice cream most nights after dinner. When traveling, I eat ice cream every chance I can get. The result is I’ve had a lot of ice cream and been to a lot of ice cream shops.Today, I visited Sugar Creek for the first time. I got the peanut butter overload shake. It was the best shake that I’ve ever had. Period. And, given all the ice cream I eat (and probably shouldn’t!), that’s saying something!”

“I have been to patty’s place several times over the years but have never left a review. My family and I went this morning for breakfast while we were passing through the area and I had ordered the sausage gravy biscuit. I was amazed with how wonderful it was. I even told patty herself that at other establishments I get sausage gravy I have to add salt and pepper. I took 1 bite of hers and I told my wife that it was perfect. I did not have to add anything to it. I can not wait to go back that direction to order this again. My wife and son both got the ribeye for breakfast and very pleased as well.”

“We came to this place on our way to North Carolina just to get a quick bite to eat, and we ordered the butter chicken, chanay, and veg pulao, and they were delicious. The best part was the naan, which was fresh, and brought straight from the tandoor. It was soft, warm, and crispy. If you are traveling through western Virginia, you should definitely stop to get some good food here.”

“I came in for lunch and had two slices of pizza and some garlic knots. The pizza had a nice crisp bottom, lots of cheesecake the garlic knots were also very good.Service was great as well!”

“Food was very good. The serving portions weren't the same as other Cracker Barrels. A lot less. Didn't get biscuits or corn bread with my meal. Was never asked like other Cracker Barrels. I've eaten in 7 different Cracker Barrels from NJ to Fla. Disappointed with this Cracker Barrel.”

“When dining in at Springhouse the food is always good. The issue comes with doing take out. It is a shot in the dark to get take out from Springhouse. Tonight I ordered Mozzarella sticks, a tavern ribeye with Mac and cheese and after spending 10 minutes on the phone, with someone who it seemed had never taken an order before, they still got it wrong. I arrived before the alloted time and waited so I could get the food as hot as possible. It was still lukewarm and wrong. The steak was overcooked and the Mac and cheese was wrong. My other issue is that there is no seasoning, I mean NONE. The steak had no salt or pepper and the pasta for the Mac and cheese was so bland that it actually made the entire dish bland. I f someone could tell the cooks to salt the pasta water and use some salt and pepper on the steaks that would be great. I'm tired of paying for food my dogs eat more of than I do.”

“Great for a little lunch. The food was good. The service was excellent. The lady who waited on me was so sweet and a very hard worker. She took phone orders, waited tables, took care of the take-out orders, and folded napkins when she had a little break. This lovely Asian lady deserves a raise. She did it all with a smile while quietly humming to the background music. Not pretty inside, but clean and neat.”

“Stopped in while on a 60-mile bicycle ride and ordered one beer.Fine service, nice interior, good AC. I recommend for anyone looking for a stop on Back Road. (It's the only option for 10 miles in any direction, so don't pass by unless you water bottles are full and bladder is empty.)”

“I wasn’t even aware of this place until a friend told me about it so we tried it. It was super quiet so I felt a little awkward because I felt like everyone could hear my conversations. But aside from that we enjoyed it. The food was definitely very good and one of the better Chinese buffet experiences I’ve had. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. The staff was very friendly. It was a place to have a conversation, not a restaurant to be filled at. The wait staff is nice and typically very good at keeping drinks filled and giving more chips and salsa.”
