One star is being generous, avoid this place, unless you want awful food and terrible service. We should have left when the waitress asked my wife if she wanted cheese on her chicken parmigiana sandwich, duh. She was very nice but had no clue as to what was on the menu nor how to deal with a complaint. My 12oz steak was tough and half fat so for $29.99 I got maybe six ounces of rare steak, when I ordered it medium rare. Throw in a cold baked potato and some awful pasta and it was a total rip off. When I informed the waitress of this she said she would “tell the manager” yet no manager came to our table and no adjustment was made to the check. I also told the 3 young ladies standing at the hostess's stand who said they were “sooo sorry” but not sorry enough to say they would get the manager. This place needs a total makeover starting with training their staff better and maybe requiring a middle school diploma for new hires.

The young lady bartender did an awesome job with her customer service and wasn't afraid to mix me drinks she didn't know how to make. Practice makes Perfect.

The food was quite tasty, but the service was so bad that it negated any positive the food might have gotten. The food wasn’t outstanding it was just good for the type of restaurant that it was.We had two tables. A friend and I got waited on promptly and then next saw the girl again. I mean never. No water checks, no food check, nothing. The table next to us, more friends that came in with us got their orders taken about 30 minutes after us didn’t get their order until my buddy and I were completely finished. We think that she didn’t actually put their order in, but she didn’t say. She didn’t make up for it with any extra attention. My friends had to find her to ask her to check. When we were trying to leave they were again no where to be found. We grabbed on of the other waitress to find them. It one of the worst dinning experiences I’ve had in quite some time. It was across the street from our hotel so it was convenient. It’s okay to have a young wait staff, but there was no adult supervision that we could see.Unless you have the patience of Job choose another place to eat.

All pizza is red sauce because they don’t have a “pizza guy” per the waitress. The “Italian” dinner was microwaved precooked food that came out Luke warm. The boneless wings were ice in the center. Had to get them remade. The traditional wings were luke warm. And the gyro (which is $13 and comes with no side) came out with the meat like leather and some pieces were downright hard. Worst experience! Overpriced for the quality! I left hungry.

I had a really good experience here. I was staying at an air b and b nearby, and I just wanted something that was not a chain. I was confused by the location switch at El Ranchero and ended up here. (This was November '23, it had a slightly different name.) The service was so warm and friendly, there were a number of gals with sweet accents behind what I believe was the pizza counter, and we had a really nice chat about life in this part of Virginia. They were friendly to a sole female traveler at the end of their shift, they brought me extra club soda and just made me feel welcome. It was the last warm night of the year, people were friendly and relaxed. My food was just fine, just a simple salad with grilled chicken and it was tasty. They also got me lemons and limes for my drink. Sometimes just being made to feel at home is the most important thing, and the staff did such a great job.

In general it is a good place, the food is delicious and the waitresses are friendly, but I have OCD and their paintings are crooked, does it seem strange? It is...

Service was excellent! Salad was good but the lasagna was horrible. Cold and I’m not sure about the spice they use in their meat sauce. Wouldn’t recommend it fo sho!
