I had an absolutely wonderful Self Care Sunday! Following numerous recommendations, I decided to visit two wineries. One of them was DuCard Vineyards. The drive to the winery was absolutely stunning, with picturesque views of the mountains. DuCard is one of the prettiest spots for a winery. It's tucked into hollow with mountains right above the vineyard. About 1.5 hours from NoVa, it's a beautiful drive and a lovely place to spend a few hours. They often have live music, are friendly toward outside food (though their local cheeses are excellent). We visited the winery today after hiking the White Oak Canyon trail. We were blown away by the hospitality of the staff! They were so kind and knowledgeable, and even treated our kids to some soda.We loved all the little special touches, especially the clean throw blankets!We can’t wait to come back next time we visit Shenandoah National Park.
