I had a good experience dining at this restaurant a few years ago, so I decided to go back when I was in the area running errands during lunchtime. Once I sat down, I was disappointed that the table and chair were sticky. The price of food was reasonable, as I ordered a set meal of ramen and salmon sushi for $18, which also came with a free salad. When I tried the ramen broth, it was too salty for my liking, and I had to add water to dilute it. The ramen noodles were fresh and had a good texture, but the sushi set took a while to arrive at my table, even though the restaurant wasn't crowded, and my server disappeared for some time. The sushi was decent but not the freshest I've had. The service was average, but it could have been better. The restaurant was small and cozy, with many art pieces and objects on the walls, which made it feel cluttered. I don't think I'll return, and, sadly, this restaurant is not as good as I remember it being.

Everything is about 10$ more than it felt it should have been, the fried egg with katsudon had runny whites, and the restaurant is suffering from years of neglect and lack of cleaning.

Cozy and quiet spot for flavorful Japanese food and small plates (izakaya)They have a large menu and nice staff. Plus, there was some soft jazz playing on the speakers.I really loved their kitsune udon! Broth tasted rich, each topping tasted fresh, and the noodles were cooked perfectly chewy.

It's sad when a favorite is no longer so. Our 2nd to last visit was a weekday and maybe they did not staff enough people. Our order took quite a while. Our last visit a few weeks ago... service better but the food was not. I didn't think salmon sashimi could be bland/tasteless but that was what we got. We also had another marinated sashimi that tasted fishy in a bad way. The tendon was so so. Really sorry that this restaurant is longer on our list of favorites. If your experience is better, great. Maybe we went on an off day.

Terrible service. We came in, waited for a long time without any acknowledgment from the servers who saw us, and then after a while the server asked if they can allow a group who came after us to be sat at a table first. Reason? Because they have two more people than us.That is no way to be treating customers who arrived first and have been waiting for a while. Also saw a group that was sitting down getting agitated because no one is coming to take their orders. If you can't handle this many customers, either hire more servers or get rid of some tables.

Ordered tendon, but I expected sauce to have been poured over rice and tempura shrimps and veggies so that rice would have absorbed sauce. Sauce was in separate container and not enough. Was good as tempura dishes go, but not the tendon preparation I was expecting. Might have been better if tempura was not on top of rice. Hard to get to rice in order to add sauce on it. I had to take tempura out first. The bowl was square, so not easy to get to rice in corners. Sashimi deluxe was ok, but I didn't like the mackerel preparation, was a bit spongy.
Service is terrible. Waiters are mean and food is OK, but takes a long time.

Truly a hidden gem. Nigiri has great cuts of fish and well seasoned rice. One of the saba nigiris I’ve had in nova. Pretty extensive izakaya menu for this area and well balanced and creamy chawanmushi as well.
