So i decided to take advantage of the taco Tuesday deal. Worst mistake ever. I ordered three plates of the sweet pork tacos. I'm literally gagging as I write this review. I took a bite and knew something was wrong. Sweet pork should be soft and shredded texture. What I bite into I have no idea if it was even meat. It was long and hard almost like a piece of hard jerky. As I opened the taco, as if that wasn't bad enough, I saw some type of belly fat or who knows what it was. I have attached some pictures. This is the most disgusting thing I have experienced at a restaurant. We had to throw all of it away. Please beware of this location, I don't want you all to experience what i did. Please do not dine here, very unhealthy ingredients. Gonna need some therapy after this one.

Honestly I never revised good or bad but last two weeks I visited this place.. twice issue.1. My wife got a vegetable burrito and the first person fix it and second person to our surprise complained why the burrito is big? The first person explained its veggie and he added more..2. Went this week and See the picture

My boyfriend and I go here every once in awhile of its location. We love Cafe Rio, food is always perfectly cooked. I will admit that we have had some issues with staff, mainly when ordering online. There have been times that they have forgotten extra items I have ordered or completely messed up my order. This happened a month ago that they messed up my online order. When I tried getting it fixed, they blamed that I did my order wrong. I have done the same order as before and it hasn't ever been an issue here or any other locations. Since I don't like the foods that weren't removed, I couldn't enjoy my food to its fullest.Food is delicious, but I feel sometimes staff can be rude with you. It's not frequent though, so it's worth 4 stars.

Conveniently located on 50, Cafe Rio is fast, fresh and convenient. The prices are reasonable and one can easily afford a meal for five. It's harder for us that are a bit vertically challenged to give our order as there is a huge glass separating the line, the food and those taking orders. The place is well decorated and I especially enjoy the baskets of fresh veggies that can be seen from the checkout line. The food is prepared in front of you as the line moves forward. I always opt for the chicken tortilla soup and the steak quesadilla is always a safe bet.

Absolutely the worst food I've ever had it was a discounting and unhealthy environment and that's probably why it is not doing as well as all the other stores in greenbrier

I work at the giant across the street..come here like 4 times or so and the service is always terrible..I don't know what it is, maybe the manager isn't good with morale or what, but the employees there have no enthusiasm at all. Its just sad and bland atmosphere in there

Food still taste great, but the employees making the food were terrible. Seemed annoyed right when we walked in. They threw our sauce in a bag and it spilled, when I went to get it replaced they didn't apologize or say anything. It was a disappointing trip to one of our favorite restaurants. Hope things get better.

Food was decent and atmosphere was nice.I tried their Tuesday taco deal. There is a charge to add rice and beans so be aware of it.

I love the salad, it wasn't too much rice/beans, fully customized order for delivery and it was so fresh and so yummy!!! I wasn't expecting to like it so much as I'm visiting from the west coast so of course I think we have most authentic Mexican influence but this was DELICIOUS!!! My picture is after I devoured the food, and I thought I wasn't hungry!!! Pic was before I tried to get everyone in the house to taste the tortilla... Because it tastes SO SO GOOD and FRESH!!!

I always go to this place for lunch or dinner. The staff is friendly and efficient and the food is always good. They have special different days of the week and i try to go on tues because they have the best salads. I recommend that and the queso with chips and the tres leches. They are the best for these foods.

Cafe Rio has gone down hill. Everything taste so bland and they put so little chicken on my tacos I couldn't even taste it over the thick dry soft shell. My daughter took one bite and refused to eat any more. Don't waste your time. Yuck!

The food is pretty good but every single time I come here it’s always the absolute WORST customer service.

The people were not good at hospitality. I feel there is so much of room for improvement. I know it is it easy but the staffs are not too good in guests handling. Foods are good

Straight up the worst tex-mex I've ever had. I've driven by here for years and always noted the regular Latinx diners so I figured why not, must be good. Nope.I ordered tacos at 3 PM on a Wednesday and that was a huge mistake. The bag of tortillas wasn't covered so the two that came of the top were already stale and putting them on a flattop only made them chewier. The chicken in my first taco was dry, hard and discolored from sitting out too long. I felt like I was chewing on a wine cork. The shredded beef in my second taco, on the other hand, was actually pretty good. The lettuce was reasonably fresh and the tomatoes were acceptable. At least that wasn't a total bomb. When I was going through the toppings line though I asked for shredded cheese and was told it was already in the taco (it wasn't). The real travesty of this place is their sauces. I asked for the medium green hot sauce which looked like a cross between vinaigrette and brown gravy like on the mashed potatoes at Popeyes. It was also over thickened with a binding agent so it slid out of the cup like cold Thanksgiving gravy Spicy? Omg, no. The red hot red sauce was a little better but only in the sense that it sucked versus being a cultural abomination.Chipotle, Baja Fresh, hell even Taco Bell do this better. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. I'm sorry Cafe Rio but how you have earned a 4.1 here I will never understand.

Not much food left was given scraps. Server was friendly and service was quick.
