The food was okay, but my snowcrab legs were warm... It was almost as if they had been sitting out. The only thing I know is they were not freshly cooked. The dining room had a strange odor. It didn't smell like seafood or anything I could even describe. My daughter couldn't eat her food due to feeling overwhelmed by the scent in the restaurant. Captain Pell’s is my favorite place is northern Virginia to get crabs. They are always cooked to perfection . Every time I come, there’s no wait. I must have found a hidden gem.

I have driven past Captain Pell's many times and finally gave it a try with a dinner with friends on a weekday night. The restaurant isn't fancy but the server was friendly and the food good. It was an enjoyable dinner. I would definitely go back.
