“Hesitated at first due to the recent negative reviews, but we went anyway. Our experience was great. The staff were attentive and polite. We interacted with multiple service staff (host, servers, hookah coal attendants, etc.), and all of them were very friendly and happy to help. The menu is extensive and the drinks, apps, and food were good. The hookah itself was great and lasted the entire three hours that we were there hanging out. It was nice that the coals were tended to by the staff. Very casual and fun atmosphere to hang out!“
“Second time visiting Basil in Annandale. Tired of cooking after thanksgiving and wanted some lentil soup and halloumi pizza. Both were excellent! I have made lentil soup many times but Basil's soup has a lemon undertone that was very satisfying. Dough for halloumi was very tender and crust perfectly cooked. Last time I did carry out I ordered lamb shank entree for dinner and that was wonderful too. I hope Basil keeps up their great meals. My new go to place for carry out when my arthritic hands too tired to cook!“
“Enjoyed our orders of spinach pie and the Kabob combo platters. The platters come with a salad and pita bread.This place is definitely a local favorite. Despite being tucked away in a strip mall, there were many families occupying almost all the tables during the evening when we were there.Enjoy!“

“The shawarma sandwiches are outstanding. They come with gratuitous amounts of fresh parsley and a little pile of pickled turnips. You can make both the chicken and the beef into cheesesteaks, with feta and mozzarella, which was delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy, the hummus was rich, and the entire place smelled amazing. There is zero ambiance in this little shop tucked away in a warehouse park, but the food is stellar.“

“The interaction with the lady at the counter is often a cause of worry. It could be me, but her anxiety and stress levels are thru the roof all the time. It just makes me feel guilty for coming and giving them business. Honestly, this cant be good for her health.The food is scrumptious. Authentic Lebanese food to a South Asian pallette. Wont disappoint.Would go there again ... And be as gentle as possible. Yikes!“
“This is an incredible Mediterranean grocery store, butcher, and catering business. Their food is absolutely delicious. They are very reasonably priced and offer the most amazing Lebanese cuisine. Everything is always so fresh! They are very accommodating. Their lamb, beef, chicken, kabob, kufta, are all delicious. They have great salads, rice, and pastries as well. I always use Beirut Cafe for all my parties and my guests are always impressed. They also have quick turnaround and can customize orders as needed. Highly recommend them. I have been using them exclusively for the last 8 years!“

If you order the lamb chop, it would come with complementary salad, rice, and hummus. Salad and rice was fresh, tasty, and well-seasoned. The hummus was super fresh, nutty, and flavorful!! Truly impressed. The lamb meat itself was very fresh too. I could tell the freshness from its clean bones. Authentic. Quality food. Reasonably priced.“
