My husband an I have had two delightful lunches at the Merrifield Matchbox. The atmosphere and food are great, but the highlight of our visit was our server, Lena. Not only was she terrific at her job, her personality was so stellar, she made us feel like we were family. On our first visit, we recommended a movie we had just seen, and when we returned to Matchbox over a month later, she remembered us and had seen the movie! Lena's cheerful, efficient service made all the difference. If you go the Merrifield Matchbox, ask for Lena!

Wow! We went here for Easter brunch and had a fantastic time. The service was great, all the servers were dressed up for Easter, and the manager personally came out to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. On top of that, the food and drinks were delicious. Would recommend!

Always a good spot for happy hour. Service can vary especially during rush hours. Pizzas are the best and they offer free pizza on your birthday when you sign up for Matchbox rewards

I checked out this place while visiting in VA. We had a big party of 14 people. So the waiter automatically gets 20% tip. I think because of that we got subpar service. When you know you're getting a nice tip why put in the effort. So sad. Second, is it me or is the price of food getting more expensive and the portion are getting smaller? My calamari was $17 and it must of had only 12 pieces. Over $1 a piece? This restaurant will be a one time experience.

I ordered a large plain pizza and fries. This cost me almost $30. I picked the food up so thats without delivery. The "large pizza" they gave me was maybe 10 inches, and 4 slices(compared to a typical 16 inch pizza for the same price). The pizza was an abomination and should be dissected in a lab for research purposes, on what to avoid when creating a pizza. Its ingredients were horrendous and it was undercooked to the point it was cold. The fries I ordered(medium, cost $8) were average size fries... that were undercooked, and there were only 9(NINE) fries. Almost a dollar a fry? I've never been so unabashedly insulted by a restaurant. Do not get food from here.

My husband I came here during Happy Hour and some really good drinks. I ordered the guava margarita and a 10 inch pepperoni pizza which both were not only delicious but tasty as well. Our server was attentive and brought things out quickly as it wasn't very busy. I really like the set up of this location compared to others.
Last weekend, we had a cheers for 18 years birthday celebration at Matchbox mosaic for my daughter. She chose this restaurant because we had a great sweet 16 there in January for her sister. Once again, the food and service were outstanding! We were able to select items from the menu, and manager Nick created our own special menu. Our waiter, Henry, was friendly and did an exceptional job. I highly recommend this restaurant for all your party and entertaining needs.

Very good menu choices and all food ordered was very good. Menu notes happy hour drink specials but does not note those specials are only good if seated in bar area. Discussed with manager to get the drink special prices with our meal. Your menu needs to be updated to clearly note any exceptions to happy hour specials

I’ve always loved matchbox, and I go and order the artichoke dip and the pasta, amazing, but to have steak and eggs and pay $38?? I don’t know why, the dish was way over priced, it was so ordinary with steak that was chewy, eggs on top and some potatoes, we’ve had better version at other places for sure and haven’t paid anywhere near $30. We were surprised to see the cost of the dish as we ordered it just by seeing others eating it. Just so disappointing and seeing the prices like this, I highly doubt we’ll be coming again or as frequent.
