This location is closed. Made a point of visiting them last weekend and the doors were locked. No signage on the doors or any other notifications. We called the telephone number and apparently they are now moved to Fair Oaks mall but they no longer serve brunch. Overall a very frustrating experience.

My piña colada and old fashion was good, however it was overpriced for sure. My Paloma did not taste like a Paloma. My parrillada for two was not worth the $50. Looked like something I bought from the frozen section at Walmart. Not only that….my side was Korean fried rice. I love Korean food but are you serious? My taste spuds were confused. This was at the FAIROAKS mall location. The room was cold too. I don’t know. Wasn’t a fan at all. Oh yeah…forgot. The shrimp sucked too.

Merkado was a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent, the meat was grilled to perfection and the sauces on the side so you could decide how much you wanted. The service was friendly and efficient.

The service was also alright! Everyone working seemed friendly and helpful so with 2 major positives when I sat down I was ready to enjoy some great food!But as for the food, I found it to be rather below average. The menu had a decent variety of dishes, but the execution fell short. The flavors were underwhelming, lacking the taste I was expecting. The dishes lacked depth and failed to leave a lasting impression.Overall, my visit to Merkado Mexican Grill & Bar was underwhelming. average food left me unimpressed. With so many other excellent Mexican dining options available in the area, I would hesitate to recommend this place. I cant give it one star because the vibes and service were amazing but still wouldn't recommend it.
