Great Beef Empanadas, Authentic Peruvian Style and good papaya smoothieI am Peruvian and it’s hard to find empanadas in NOVA that are really 100% Peruvian style. Specially the pastry dough. This place uses the dough we use in Peru, or the one you find almost anywhere in Lima or the coast.A beautiful empanada with a bit of sugar powder on top of it served with pieces of lime. This is simply THE BEST in the area for traditional Peruvian food.I've tried so many other places in the northern Virginia area and I've always left disappointed. Finally I've found this jewel in the heart of Fairfax city. The food gets cooked in front of you right there when you order it. The taste is on point and the size of the portions is very generous. Just found out about this place and was excited to check it out. We ordered the pollo saltado and llomo saltado to go. Service was quick. Food was reasonably priced and SO GOOD. So happy to have a Peruvian restaurant in Fairfax. We'll definitely go back again.
