Past time for a remodel. Somehow it's one of the most expensive movie theaters in the area and one of the worst. You walk in and it just looks old and poorly maintained. The lobby is dirty, bathrooms are dirty, sound is poor. So many nicer options like Icon I'll only go here as a last resort.

This place is good for foreign, especially Indian movies. They run many Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu movies. These movies are as good in quality as anything coming out of Hollywood, especially the action movies. I especially like the reclining seats. Sometimes I will buy their boxed pizzas and take them home to eat over the next several days. The facilities are clean and well maintained, and the staff is friendly. The parking is plenty and convenient. No complaints. Keep up the good work.

I have been here a few times and never had any issues. Today I was there to see the Hindi movie Crew. The theater is always clean and well maintained. I like the self serve butter station with other condiments such as salt. I don't live nearby this theater so I don't come often, but if I'm in the area or need to see an Indian movie I'll be back!

The theater is dated and the special XD screen is a regular screen. The markup on the ticket is insane. One Love was the movie we took in. There is a weird too tall half wall that feels like the screen is partially blocked. I miss that location being AMC! I'll stick with the Alamo & AMC! 3 stars due to plentiful seats and nice staff.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at the Cinemark Movie Theater in Fairfax, VA today, and I must share it. We decided to make my daughter's 7th birthday special by taking her out of school to see the highly anticipated Taylor Swift Movie. My wife and daughter even coordinated their outfits just for this occasion. However, about an hour into the three-hour movie, a mouse scurried right in front of our seats. I immediately informed an employee, but they brushed me off, claiming they have regular pest control and couldn't do anything at the moment.I returned to the theater to find my wife and daughter on their seats, terrified, as the mouse ran in front of them. My daughter was hysterical and begged to leave. We went to the front for a refund, but they claimed there was a "computer error" and suggested we call Fandango, who, in turn, sent us back to Cinemark, both refusing a refund. Now, I see multiple Google reviews mentioning rodents in the theater. This experience was utterly disappointing, and I would strongly caution anyone considering this theater for a special occasion or movie night.

Pretty standard cinema experience. The stadium style seating also features reclining chairs. You can pick out your seats online in advance. The snack bar is average. There is lots of parking available too. Matinees offer a slight discount.

I've since moved from Fairfax since my original review, but I still make the drive back to this theatre because no other theatre really compares to the quality of the viewing experience here. Not even the AMC in Woodbridge is this good. Despite not having an IMAX theatre, the XD theaters are still worth it. The staff have always been kind and friendly through the years. We've never had a rude or unhelpful staff member neither at the ticket stand or at concessions. The popcorn at concessions has been a hit or miss, but I do recommend really working the butter in if you're wanting it to be tastier. For a family of 3 or 4, a medium sized popcorn bag will do just fine. Of course, if you want more, you can always up it to large, but it might not all be eaten. A Pro Tip from someone who's been coming here for years, the "sweet spot" for the XD theaters is Row E and for the regular non-XD theaters is Row F. You'd want the closest to middle seats as possible for both rows. These have the optimum viewing and listening location within the theater. That being said, I've found that anything closer to the top has a more limited viewing from the bottom of the screen. The biggest downfall that I'm saddened is still the case is their bathrooms. They were terrible years ago and they're still terrible to date. They just need a major renovation because they just seem perpetually dirty. The theaters themselves have always been well kept between viewings. The seats never seem dirty or have leftover food from the previous viewing and the staff are typically quick to get it sorted out - so really appreciate their efforts on that. The other thing I wanted to mention was their Cinemark Movie Club. If you're not a frequent movie goer, this might not be for you, but for $10/month, you get a free ticket added, no online fees, and 20% off concessions. That free ticket comes in handy when you do end up going to the movies. When we went to see Spider-Man: No Way Home, I had 2 free tickets from my Movie Club rewards. I only had to pay $14.25 for the 3 tickets I ordered instead of the near $50-$60 it would've been otherwise. It might be worth looking into.All-in-all, great location years later. I really wish the bathroom situation would've improved, but it remains my #1 Go-To Theater, even after I've long moved way outside of Northern Virginia.

Due to an ongoing rodent problem in the theater that's been reported over the years (read the reviews!), and the fact that mangement has not resolved this serious issue I will not be returning to this theater. This is very unfortunate but I will not pay to see an expensive movie worrying about rats or mice scurrying by when they're known for carrying diseases not to mention the ick factor. As it is, I live only a block from the AMC Worldgate in Herndon and that theater has declined to such an extent in terms of filth, disgusting chair trays, sticky floors, disgusting bathrooms, shredded seats, broken equipment that I won't go near that place either. One would think that with theaters taking such a hit during the pandemic that they would do everything they could to make theaters an enticing place to visit again but my health is too important as a cancer survivor to take these chances. Just NOPE.

Went to see Barbie here a couple weeks ago and had a lovely experience. My only complaint is that at most theatres there is a light or more obvious way to see the row you're in - since here it's in the carpet you can barely see it and that makes it hard to find your spot if you need to use the restroom.I got an XD viewing and the screen was HUGEEE it was definitely worth the cost. The theatre itself is also large and recliners are spacious so you're not tightly close to the person next to you and can easily move around in your seat. I wish it would recline a little further back to allow the feet to come up totally but that's not a big deal. They did not check bags. I also can't speak on concessions since I didn't get anything, but prepare to come early for your show as parking can be difficult to find. Don't worry if you're a little late tho, compared to other theaters where trailers play for 15 min, here they seemed to have run around 25/30.

Been to this theater twice and so far I'm a fan. Good seats & sound. Hubby commented on the sound which is important because he does have hearing issues. Personally, as someone with good hearing I might start bringing ear plugs bc the loud background noise but appreciate that the dialog was crisp. The seats are nice & didn't seem to have the awkward squeaking noice when moving the seat. There is easy parking & spots nearby for before or after meals. Unlike AMC there did not seem to be popcorn refill options. Will likely become one of our regular movie spots & May even go for a membership which a couple friend suggested was worth it if you visit regularly.

This theater is one of the best theaters to visit. I make a 45-minute drive to come here from Maryland. From the moment you park your car, you'll appreciate the side parking lot, which is well-lit and provides a sense of security as you walk to and from the theater.Once you enter the theater, you'll be impressed with the quality of the screens and the sound system, making your movie-watching experience exceptional. The theater's comfortable seats and well-maintained facilities add to the overall pleasant experience. Moreover, there are plenty of dining and drinking options located within close proximity to the theater, giving you the opportunity to grab a bite to eat or a drink before or after the movie. Whether you are with friends or family, this Cinemark theater is definitely worth the trip for an enjoyable cinematic experience.

Classic movie theater located in the pleasant area of Fairfax Corner 14! Tickets are usually about $13.50-$16.50! You can definitely get better deals using their app or joining their subscription! Their interior is a typical movie theater layout -- you have your tickets to your left, ticketing taker is in the middle, and you have your concession stands behind. I do like that this theater sells ICEES ! They also have a small arcade area to kill time if you're early for a movie~ They have reclining seats and a lot of leg room; plenty of cup holders; both with and without the arm rests! 6.5/10 would recommend to watch a movie if you're from the local area!

This movie theater is always clean and movie Tuesday's are a great deal. I have the movie club membership which is a great price as well! I love this theater and hope it survives for a long time to come. Only knocked off one star due to no longer having a food/kitchen service most times I go, so food options are limited, but movie snacks such as popcorn, nachos and candy are always available.

I like the arcade and the rooms theaters rooms themselves are very big and nice and I love the chairs.
