The beautiful Instagram worthy pictures were taken inside the room that had the Iftar buffet. The indoor seating was very limited. You definitely have to make a reservation and have paid before coming to join the buffet. We were a party of four and paid about $175 for the buffet. The food was delicious and mouthwatering, but a little bit expensive for a buffet in a room if you ask me. The lamb & basmati rice was yummy. Seasoned perfectly & lamb was tender & mouthwatering. Rice pudding was tasty & sweet. Omg their stroganoff was delicious and to die for. Their salad was fresh & yummy. Really the whole iftar buffet was great. The service was OK, the young lady would help seat everyone. So make sure you reserve early and paid in advance and arrive early if attending the Iftar buffet.

The food and service were absolutely terrible. The management was extremely rude, and there was no customer service to speak of. They charged $40 per person for a buffet that tasted like everything was burnt. I felt awful for the young girls working there-they seemed beaten down and exhausted. The woman in charge acted like she hated her job and made every guest feel unwelcome, as if she was giving away free food. To top it off, they serve food in disposable plates, cups, and silverware, giving it a charity-like feel. I wouldn't go back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Please don't waste your time and money here. It's a hookah place, not a restaurant And funny part is they blocked me from ther instagram page because i put my opinion in a comment in there instagram and texted me on my instagram a long text which was so disrespectful and warnings plus they banned me to enter to there. restaurant and they blocked me form instagram too Which I don't care They deleted my comment from there ig So basically if someone give them a negative comment the owner is a girl she start cat fight with u She thinks she is dealing with her boyfriend not a customer

UPDATE: both my husband and I have gotten sick with what seems like a stomach bug and have been sick for 2 days. DO NOT GO HERE.We drove from Maryland for the Ramadan buffet. It was a total of $90 for me and my husband. There was a $14 charge for gratuity/service charge and we were given paper plates and disposable forks/spoons and were not served in anyway (not greeted, no drinks, we weren’t even given napkins). The food was bland and not many options and when the food was up it was up. The atmosphere was ok. The buffet set up was ok but was not worth the two hour drive and the $90 bill. Would not recommend whatsoever!

This company goes above and beyond to treat their guests as family. Embodies true Arab culture. Their desserts and drinks are extremely good as is their food. Great hang out spot. I'd recommend everyone to go here more.

The food is very delicious, wonderful Arabic atmosphere, especially Miss Farah, she was very friendly with us, smiling and very nice. Everything is beautiful. We will definitely come back to eat in this restaurant.
Excellent food and service! The lamb tagine fell off the bone and the Yemeni Kabsah was the best I have ever had. Very traditional. No need for knifes because the meat is so tender and flavorful.Lovely family business that caters to patrons like they are part of the family; dining experience was as comfortable as if dining at home with loved ones.

Incredible food, awesome staff, and top-notch service at Balqees Restaurants! The vibe is amazing, making me feel like a regular even after moving to Maryland. Huge shoutout to Farah for being super cool and helpful. The payment process is so convenient – you can pay right at your table, a major upgrade from the old days of walking back to settle the bill.
