My wife and I have been in love with Nazret Ethiopian Restaurant, the customer service, the food, and of course the chef’s attention to detail since our first date here in 2018. We are always greeted by the chef and owner when visiting the restaurant. We always receive top notch service, and of course the best Ethiopian food we’ve ever had in our lives. It’s impossible to describe all our experiences over the last four years and how great they have been, but here is an example: last night the chef found out we got married and had out of town guests to his restaurant, so he brought out a bottle of champagne on the house for us to enjoy. There is just 10/10 service every time. Highly recommended.

Found our newest favorite go-to ethiopian place. Veggie sampler and lamb tibs were best we've had yet. I truly appreciate that they didn't use an excessive amount of oil while preparing the dishes, like some other places. Food was fresh and tasty. You can tell it was prepared with care! Staff / owner (?) was very friendly and asked how we liked everything. Can't wait to go back :)

Nazret is absolutely amazing. Chef Mekonnen is the friendliest, sweetest guy and they make SUCH GOOD FOOD. We partnered with them for a conference and he welcomed tables full of people from out of town with the same spirit we'd only get with a local business owner. I cannot recommend his food highly enough - real ingredients, real love & such amazing flavors!Vegetarian options: Such good vegan options!!!!

Oh my goodness was this the best experience and Ethiopian food I’ve had/tried! I never leave reviews but I really wanted too because the owner / chef was the sweetest, food was incredible, and they really deserve it.I went there for my birthday and half of the party never had Ethiopian food. The owner was sooooo excited to share his culture and food with us and went out of his way to ensure we had the best experience, while also teaching us about the cuisine. You could just tell he was so proud, passionate and loves what he does. The food was also absolutely delicious. It came with PLENTY of food and the quality and flavored were superb. Highly recommend without a doubt and I’m so happy to have found this gem!!!

The food is great don’t get me wrong on that, but the customer service is terrible, we ordered the food through the phone, and they informed us will be ready in 20 minutes, I arrived 5 minutes late, still I had to wait another 15 minutes, after my food arrived the server named Bethaham , was chatting with other employees instead of helping me, she was extremely rude every time I went there, and from now on I don’t think I’ll ever visit that place again because of her attitude. I don’t think she understands that the money that comes from customers will pay her salary.

Very welcoming restaurant with lots of different food choices. Prices are very good along with the taste of the food. The chef is a very accommodating as someone in our party had a food allergy, so he came out and confirmed with the table. I'm happy we stopped here and would be happy to visit again in the future!

I learned about this place from my Uber driver from Ethiopia. We were talking about the best places to eat and he said this was the best Ethiopian in town and WOW he was right. I've eaten at several local restaurants but this was next level. The food was amazing. It was super busy and lively on a Friday night but we got a good table right away. The service was fantastic and include multiple free shots. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Amazingly delicious Ethiopian food! Decor is superb. Server was very kind and helpful. Menu was a bit confusing but they helped us understand it. One of our items was sold out after we ordered so the chef gave us a salad on the house - very much appreciated! Then we started to dig in for the main course, ch r came out and asked how it was and that made it even better. Very good quality food and attention to detail is superb. You really feel they care about you here. Thanks!

Exceptional. VIP platter, raw beef, and Ethiopian beer. Full bar service. Owner is super friendly and happy to welcome new diners. Server was also super nice, helpful to explain cultural customs, and attentive. A “hidden gem” (literally tucked off street). Would rank Nazaret among top Ethiopian places in DC/NOVA area. Worth the trip. Will return.
