Iraqi House Bakery is a good place to enjoy Iraqi food in both their restaurant and their small convenience store. The food was good. The bed of rice was almost perfectly cook and very flavorful. The steak on kabab was cook ok and the flavor was bland. Good, just not overwhelmingly great. The restaurant is small with only a half of dozen tables. It's a mom and pops size restaurant. They are very attentive to you as soon as you sit down. Prices are reasonable, especially for the greater DC area. I personally felt at home with the staff's customer service. Easy place to come and enjoy sitting down to relax, enjoy some food without someone bothering you. Kudos to the people that work here. I will certainly come back and I expect that I'll be a repeat customer.

Looks can be deceiving, currently entrance is through the corner store. I had the chicken Shawarma, was absolutely delicious, especially the mint sauce and the bread. For next time the owner recommended the baked cod, but asked me to call one hour before arriving so it can be prepared in time.

Either I'm the only white guy who shops here or they have a really good memory because I'm always remembered when I shop or get food here. The food at the restaraunt is delicious although when we arrive they always look like they're not prepared for customers. Regardless, they're always happy to fire up the grill and cook delicious food. This is also the first place I've found in the US that makes Masgouf and Samoon! The market is small but carries a lot of special items from Iraq. The have a butcher who cuts meat in the market. We shop here when we can because the people are so nice here.In closing, this place has great food and a lot of specialty items you can't find anywhere else. It's a little hard to find since it's located behind a strip mall but it's worth finding. If you look inside and it appears closed...don't worry it probably isn't!

The worse place on earth! The meat for ground kebab was so dry that I couldn’t even cut it. The place is dirty and horribly managed! The county should close this place!

Iraqi House Bakery is a newer eatery that appeared in the Skyline area; they offer appetizers, sandwiches, and platters, as well as bottled drinks and a market that's attached to do a bit more shopping. We came here for lunch and ordered the Kebab, which came with 2 skewers; so, we opted for 1 chicken and 1 steak, with an adding of extra meat for an extra chicken. The steak was a little too sinew-y, but the chicken was definitely juicy and flavorful; the spices used made it super tasty! The fluffy bread was also addicting, and great with both the hummus and the baba ghanouj (the latter being really tasty, as it was thick, creamy, and not a hint of bitterness)! The staff were very welcoming and nice! I did have some gripes: +the bread that was served was not on a plate, and it was actually just set on the table; the tables were not wiped down, so that was a little gross/concerning +we were definitely overcharged for our meal - whether it was a 'lost in translation' or assuming we didn't notice, the amount of food we received didn't equate to the bill coming out 3x as much (it seems as if we were charged for 3 platters instead of 1 with an added fee for an extra skewer) Either way, if you are going solo or ordering just 1 platter with no customizations, I think you'd be find; otherwise, just make sure you double-check your bill! Plenty of parking in the strip plaza lot. +overcharged bill +great chicken kabobs +friendly staff +plenty of parking in strip plaza lot +attached market

The owner is an arrogant piece of s**t, not worth coming here or doing business. I will stick with Gilgamesh good bread and much better service.

Amazing taste and service! The best Iraqi food I had in the US and I've been everywhere on the east coast. Was just passing through DC for a job and stopped by and got the Kebab 2 skewers meat and 1 chicken. Very fresh and tasty meat.. High quality food for very competitive prices.. not expensive at all!! Try it out they're the best!

Some of the best chicken and beef kebabs I’ve ever had across the entire US - authentic Iraqi kebabs. The only kebabs I could compare to it are Iraqi restaurants at Edgware Road in London UK - period. Thank you Boys.

Hands down this is the best Iraqi food I ever had. True authentic Iraqi cuisine. I came down all the way from va Beach and googled found this place and I was amazed very clean owner and employees were nothing but friendly. Definitely will be making more trips back to fall church just to eat at Iraqi house bakery.
