Good food slightly overpriced for what it is. Don’t like that they automatically add 20 percent service fee then constantly remind you that additional tip isn’t expected but appreciated..

The meal was exquisite. The dishes were well presented, creative and delicious as well as showing upon rather generous, dare we say it, North American portions. Our server (and others passing) was/were fantastic but we did sit at the bar and not at a table. This was a choice that we consciously made because we were celebrating our 19th anniversary sans children. Intimacy. A few reviews complain about price or the lack of selections on the menu. All we can say is: post-COVID prices have gone up significantly but that is true for everything that we, as a community, consume today. It might be harder to stomach the price increases for discretionary expenses like a fancy meal. In any event, please do not expect 1980s or even 2019 prices. Secondly, yep, it is pricey, but it is worth every centime. The "limited" menu is what really good restaurants do, not to gouge you, but to spoil you with a core set of dishes that will tantalite the palate of almost every true gourmand. NUE hits the mark rather well. Finally, one kink in the armor, is how food is served today and how waitstaff interact with customers. Partly caused by the clash of generations, e.g., servers and the served may have 30 to 40 years between them, partly because due to COVID the new wave apparently did not get to learn from the OGs who did not return to the hospitality business sector, and is likely partly due to the pace of life in the DMV as practiced by folks with maybe too much money. That service process part needs to be ironed-out, but it is not just an issue at NUE, but at most, if not all, DMV fine food establishments. We, for one, will be back to NUE very soon. We just need to save up for it and we won't have to wait a year.

The food was excellent, though we were disappointed that our dietary restrictions which we had communicated in advance were not taken into any consideration. the staff was aware of these but from the kitchen we continued to receive throught the dinner the kind of food (sugar, dairy) we had asked to avoid. A bit surreal overall....

Had a very nice experience. Food was good. 4.5 starsDumplings small plate was great. Grilled king prawns were ok. The short rib pappardelle was very good and the risotto was very tasty.Dessert I liked the Yuca cake with ice cream but was not a big fan of the Tropical Che.

It was good overall but for two entrees, one appetizer and two cocktails a person for $200 it was a bit much. I feel like for that amount of money the experience should be a little more memorable.

The restaurant has a lovely ambience, nice decor, and a convenient location with the parking lot next to it. From making a reservation to being seated was a seamless experience. The server was friendly and knowledgeable and the food and drinks were wonderful. Each dish was different and flavorful. We had a great experience.

Was expecting so much better. The menu is super limited and the options are not impressive. EVERYTHING else s beyond overpriced. I got 1 alcoholic beverage and it was $17 and they put one of those gigantic ice cubes in the drink, which took up most of the glass (and the glass was TINY) so I literally only got about four swigs of this drink before it was gone So that was a total rip off. The atmosphere is OK. The music is a little too loud. Our server was very attentive though, and the staff was very accommodating and kind. The food that we got tasted good, but there was nothing on the menu that was overly impressive so there’s absolutely no reason for me to ever go back to this restaurant. For reference, we ordered one salad, two small Appetizers and split one entrée because everything was so expensive and we paid Close to $150 For our food AND If you’re one of those people that like to skimp on the tip, you won’t get the opportunity to do so because they add a 20% gratuity in the check whether you like it or not. Honestly, I walked away feeling like I got ripped off and I’m still hungry. SMHParking: The only option for parking is a parking garage that you have to pay for and it’s really Confusing on how to find the restaurant from the parking garage, so good luck with that

Food was good but not worth the price. Very few entree selections which forced you to get a very expensive “shared plate”. A large fried fish for $100 - supposedly for 3-4 was enough for 2 - we went home hungry. Why even have Bolognese on a Vietnamese menu ($39) - it was even served with Paramasian cheese. Why even have Bolognese on a Vietnamese menu ($39). Do I really want Italian food at a Vietnamese restaurant. If I wanted Italian food, I would have gone to an Italian restaurant — What was the chef thinking? Lastly - charging a20% service fee is terrible. Tipping is not a obligation and as the customer I should choose how much to tip not the resturant. The service was not worthy of a 20% tip. Very expensive given that there are many Vietnamese restaurants options in the area that serve just a good food at half the price. We will not return.

New is truly a taste sensation! They are so very creative with their drinks and entrées and this is the second time we have been there to celebrate a family members birthday. We will definitely be back!

Going to NUE to celebrate my anniversary was such a great decision. We decided to visit when they were still doing their lunar year specials so we got to try a lot of their special drinks. Before I get into the review, I just want to say that the service was impeccable. Our server was so kind and knowledgeable about all the dishes. She really made this night special for us. We decided to get two of their lunar new year theme drinks. I'm not sure if they are still available on the menu but they were both really good. For appetizers we got the Pho Pate on crullers. I loved how they added the crullers as the bread. I grew up eating them so it was so exciting for me to have it in a more upscale way. Onto the entrées we got the Pappardelle and the Risotto. For the risotto, I highly recommend adding the scallops. They were cooked perfectly and I don't think the dish would've been as complete without it. The Pappardelle was our favorite dish of the night. The short rib was so flavorful and tender. This was such a fun and unique way of incorporating this Asian flavor with pasta. I absolutely loved it. I can't wait to go back and have this again. Overall, I loved my experience here . I'm already planning for my next visit

They made a brunch drink for my party during dinner because our server overheard us taking about lychee drinks and how there wasn't any on the menu, portions were large, and the sauce that came with the whole fish platter was so good

I pick Nue for a little high-end Vietnamese restaurant for special dinner like anniversary or birthday. The presentation is phenomenal and food delicious . Highly recommended restaurant around DMV!

Everything was unexpected, but all turned out incredibly fantastic! The food was amazing, and the service was phenomenal. I highly recommend it to those looking for fine-dining Vietnamese fusion food that is not only beautifully plated but tastes super delicious!!

In the short time that Nu has been open we've already had several wonderful meals there, both for a date night as well as celebratory family dinners. Everything we've ordered has been wonderful, and one important thing to note when reviewing the menu is that many of the dishes are larger, ideal for eating "family style". We love the decor, and the cocktails are excellent as well. We will be back!
