We had read the other great reviews, checked out the menu online, drove past the cute exterior, but for some reason we had been holding out to try out The Johnson Cafe. Until today. Big mistake, the holding out that is. We ordered take out, Paneer Korma and Indian Butter Chicken, and it tasted fantastic. Really great flavours and just the right portion size. The rice was well cooked and sprinkled with fried onions and herbs. This place will definitely be added to one our regular places to order from. Hats to the chef.

I had the breakfast burrito, and it was very good. I'll definitely go back to this quaint little place. Good variety of cultural food, and friendly staff. Best of luck to the restaurant!

Lovely café. I ordered Indian food and it was delicious. Staff is wonderful. Prices are very fair. Great music selection. Hopefully I’ll have the chance to visit again! Park across the street.

Delicious food from a neighborhood gem. Twice dining in and once takeout so far. Burger is amazing (had it twice) kids loved the French toast, and the Indian entrees are delicious. Friendly service. Everything tastes so fresh and is well seasoned. It's quickly turning into a weekly must-have

This is a cute funky kind of place. They do appear to keep it clean. I have eaten here 3 times, food is average, this time got a hamburger and it had whole chunks of meat in it which was a little strange and it was on the dry side. The music was way too loud and really annoying, and the place was way too hot, have more a/c for chrissakes. I have never found the people behind the counter to be friendly or personable, which I think is critical for a small business.

This place is excellent for the price point and quality of the food. You're really not going to get a better deal and taste around here with all the casual chains around. Good to see small businesses still in an area that is gentrified. Let me set some expectations, yes you might have to wait (during common lunch/dinner hours) , but that's the price you pay for quality of food, limited staff at a location as expensive as northern Virginia... ( in response to a negative review). Have some empathy and patience lol or you can just go next door to Dunkin' and get a pre made big n toasted. Like I said before, food is good value for price point and the chicken sandwich was good too, will have to try other stuff. Seasoning isn't as strong and in your face, but kinda reminded me of roaming rooster but significantly cheaper.

Best butter chicken in the US-of-A! ? quote my Indian boyfriend. (The veggie curry is not so great.) Very charming place! Will definitely be back.

We had the Mediterranean/Indian dish with buttered chicken. Food was excellent, very nice presentation. Johnson’s exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend.

Cute place and very welcoming. There is no direct parking, but you can park in the lot across the street near the Subway and Dunkin Donuts.

Highly recommend! Great food at a great price. Optimal diner/home cooked meal type of place, very small but charming. Fast and great service. Outdoor and indoor seating. Extra finicky people beware- it is next to a road but it isn’t too busy. We ordered a burger, fried chicken sandwich, Caesar salad and a drink for less than $30 (before tip) and it was plenty for two hungry people. Expect to park across the street or nearby.

Really good food, coffee and service. Recommend the burrito. Parking is a trick, either street parking on Hillwood of take your chances vs the tow companies at the Dunkin lot.

Lovely spot with really tasty food. We went for breakfast and found everything delicious: BLAT sandwich, shakshuka, and pancakes. It's takes a little while and comes out with a few minutes between dishes but as long as you're laid back about it it's no problem. Great local place, good prices, tasty food. I'm looking forward to going back.

Tried the chicken sandwich for lunch....yeah, there should be a line around the corner for this food!!! Hands-down the best food in Falls Church. This is food cooked by people with a passion for food and flavor. Don't let the unassuming name and location fool you: this is a real-deal culinary experience. Amazing!!!!

This small, relatively new family-run joint is excellent. It's all about the food here. For lunch, their soon-to-be famous chicken sandwich is the best I've ever had. The rosemary-tinged fries are totally unique and wonderful. Both chicken and fries are fried perfectly. For dinner, we brought our own wine and ordered Indian. The butter chicken and vindaloo are both outstanding. These folks put real skill and care into their food. I look forward to the day they blow up huge and expand to a bigger space.

My husband Marcos has been raving about this place for weeks. We ordered dinner tonight, and OH MY GOSH was it good!! The flavors, the attention to detail, absolutely everything was spot on. The best butter chicken in town. Their wings are the best I’ve ever had. The habanero honey sauce was way too hot for me, but my husband was in heaven. I love that this little unassuming cafe packs a flavor punch, isn’t afraid of spice, and has every single detail right. Not many are able to offer all that lately.Absolutely the best food in Falls Church, hands down!!!
