honestly a hidden gem in good fortune market in eden centre! I saw this recommended amongst the Chinese community and had to try it out. They sell Portuguese and Hong Kong styled egg tarts, one for $2. It doesn't show in the photo but the egg tarts were huge, larger than the normal ones I get from bakeries and also cheaper. the lady is very helpful if it is your first time there, and will explain to you if a bread contains fillings or what type of filling.

Located inside good fortune supermarket wing sheng bakery has the best traditional Chinese baked goods in the area. Nothing much else to say really if you're trying for the first time get a pineapple bun, sesame ball, and egg tart; you won't be disappointed.

Buns good but wouldn't recommend the wife cake, not much melon filling and lots of dough. Not what used to with the nuts inside.

The closest thing I've found to an authentic Chinese bakery without traveling all the way up to NYC. It's a _small family owned business_ where I've come so often and made friends with the family (even my parents came up and everyone was able to speak Canto/ Toishanese) and got along. I call in my bakery orders every trip I make up here. They are willing to take orders, but PLEASE, if you're not going to get it or pay? Please don't cancel on them last minute. What would YOU do if you make DOZENS of a product for a customer and the cancelled/ never showed/ etc? This is why they're wary about large orders. Their products are fresh and they provide serving and storage advice for their products, too!

Business must be humming. The fussy daughter had on a nice Canada Goose vest at the checkout to keep her warm while she keeps your buns warm. Still the most authentic Cantonese bakery in those parts but prices high due to Bidenomics. Be careful with the day old mystery grab bag goodies. There's a sign that says she'll fine you $100 if you try to steal anything. Onetime I was over there and an old lady opened up the mystery bags and started picking stuff out that she wanted. I motioned over to the daughter and she lit that old lady up. Just trying to maintain law and order. Peace out.

Authentic and delicious bakery located inside the grocery store

Hands down the best Cantonese bakery with affordable prices in the Washington metropolitan area. Located inside the Good Fortune grocery store, their bakery offers fragrant Hong Kong-style egg tarts, Portuguese custard tarts, and a variety of traditional mooncakes, which serve best with warm tea, and many more that are baked throughout the day. Plus, their staff is surprisingly kind, friendly, and patient.

My favorite bakery to get pineapple buns from. The owner is SO sweet. Also, they sell day-old buns at a huge discount. I got a "surprise bag" with 6 buns for $4.50! I always pick up some goodies whenever I stop by Good Fortune. I absolutely love this place!!

Cyndy's Bottom Line: Delicious egg tarts *Located in the Good Fortune Supermarket in Eden Center.*Upon entering the bakery is located on the left side near the back of the store.*Lots of parking available*Cash only*Hours: 0800-9pm daily*Take out*Delivery service availableI stopped in because of the great reviews about the Hong Kong Style egg tarts. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Portuguese egg tarts too. Both were so scrumptious! Creamy decadent egg custard center with flaky crusts. They have a good selection of buns, pastries and a yummy BBQ pork bun.Worth a visit when you want delicious egg tarts!

This is my go to place for Portuguese egg tarts. The crust is flaky and crispy and they include a good amount of custard. I like that the egg tarts are not too small. They also offer fresh batches if ordered in larger batches! It took about 20 minutes to make 16 fresh egg tarts.

Very delicious mooncakes. The Pineapple bread was warm and freshly made.

The bakery is located inside the supermarket in the plaza. They have various baked goods but we came to try the bbq pork buns. They didn't have any when we got there, but the owner said to wait 20 minutes and she'll make us fresh ones. We said ok and shopped while they baked. After we were done shopping, the buns were ready. The people were really nice and the bbq pork buns were amazing! The crust was crisp and the inside was soft and pillowy. I would come here all the time if I lived in the area!

Their buns make me feels like home back in Hong Kong! The top of pineapple is crunchy and sweet. The Cha Shu(pork) bun has a good amount of stuffing and they are HUGE. Egg tart can be sweeter but the shell has a good aroma and good texture.

Located in the back left of the store. Tried their pineapple bun with and without the chasu pork filling. Both were delicious. They also allow you to pay through venmo which is super convenient since they have a minimum credit card spend. Going to definitely try out other items such as their egg tarts.
