LOVE me some Joe's. Been going there since I was a Little girl- I turn 20 today and I knew I wanted to celebrate with some steamed shrimp from good old Joe

Good fresh lake trout filled on the spot!

Got blue crab there and it was too watery. Cooked days in advance. The meat had no flavor because water was inside the crab. A lot of Old Bay on the outside of the crab. Crab should be boiled when you order it not sold days later. Yuck ? I hadn’t had crabs in years and thought I would try it at this place. I guess they have customers that don’t know what good crabs taste like. I will not go there again. Also the store smells too fishy. I don’t think that’s a good thing.

Depending on what you get prices are a little steep compared to other seafood markets in other counties

Ambiance isn't a consideration since it is not an eat in restaurant Service is friendly and helpful SeaFood is cooked fresh and reasonably priced for the items and quantity and quality listed and very tasty.Coming from NJ there isn't much seafood items served in the local restaurants. Really miss having steamed clams & mussels, fresh oysters & clams on half shell and nice size cooked mussels & crabs

The shrimp taste as though it had freezer burn. Ordered 21pie ce shrimp meal, had to toss most of them they were not fried properly, they were mushy. Also ordered a fried trout sandwich, it was anything except trout. My meal Joe's Seafood was indeed the most memorable ever, plain nasty and unappealing. The most expensive meal because the entire meal was trashed. ?

Owners are terrific and the fried oysters are best in town!

There are more recent negative. It appears to be the only seafood place within the area and the citizens are just accepting their negative staff or not so good quality of seafood. Therefore another seafood market or restaurant needs to open up in the area to prove that the quality of seafood should always be respected. Joe's may need to retire and let a new restaurant come to this location.

Always been one of my favorites , but the last 2 visits me and my guess had a very long wait and they weren't busy. And then the food was no were near the quality of food that I have been use to getting there.

Great place to get your seafood, Joe's Seafood has been in Farmville for 19yrs, and can use our support. The food was so good and fresh and the Wifey and I spoke with his wife for like 20mins and it was informative about the market as of now . So come on out and get some Fresh Seafood. Thank you.

I don't live in Farmville but I visit often. I make sure I hit Joe's every time I'm here. The food is excellent and prices are very affordable. Its a mom and pop operation and they are extremely friendly, especially Joe's wife. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.
