I have been having more issues lately finding items where they are supposed to be. Today, au Ju sauce packet or even an onion soup for a substitute. I'm almost certain I could find it at the end of a random isle, if I had an extra 20 minutes to search the store. There is no rhyme or reason to where they put things around here. It would also help if people stocked the shelves before noon. I'm here at 11:45 and they are stocking as I type.

Fort Belvoir Commissary is truly exceptional. Their deli selection is top-notch, and the salad bar offers fresh choices. The sushi is a surprising bonus, and what sets them apart is the immaculate cleanliness and well-stocked shelves. It's easily one of the best Commissaries in the world. Highly recommended!

Options and certain foods & condiments can be limited here yet the place is always clean. Lots of great deals. I can't find the ramen, condiments, rice, and fruits I usually buy. The commissary is always super crowded, yet Sundays before closing are quiet & peaceful-no crowds. I enjoy the well kept outdoor greenery and area. Prices are good. The baggers are nice and very accommodating. Staff is professional and kind with few exceptions. One was a very rude lady who berated me (asking me if I understood English - I did), but was in shocked silence from the way she was conducting herself. I was impressed by the large organic foods and vegan & vegetarian section - very vast options. I bought and tried some new items from that section like their apple cider vinegar tonics, organic spices, and vinegars. Overall, I am happy with my experiences at this commissary.

Whew, talk about a trip back down memory lane. I had the privilege of spending some time at the base commissary and post exchange at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. I say a trip down memory lane as I was once a starry-eyed young private assigned to this base, fresh out of training. Needless to say, much of the base has been upgraded and modernized to the point I was driving around very lost, as my once familiar landmarks had been replaced with Shiney newer edicifices. Such is the case with the base commissary and post exchange. Both , sitting side by side, are a tribute to today's changing attitude towards "looking out for the troops and their Families" versus sorted tales from yesterday. Glistening, well stocked facilities met me, with a prideful array of fresh fruits and vegetables that had me impressed. The only dig I have is that with 10 bins of watermelons, it would have been nice to find one with seeded watermelons. The post exchange beside the commissary was equally impressive, rivaling some small indoor malls with an anchor store, however totally equipped and stocked to handle the wants and needs of the troops, all the way up to a Starbucks. Well done, Fort Belvoir. Well done.

I've never been a fan of shopping at the commissary, when places like Wegmans are so close by. But, due to inflation- $5.00 for a dozen eggs? $7.00 for mayo? No thanks. The Ft. Belvoir location has acceptable produce, excellent prices on meat, and a great selection at an amazing savings.
