I eat/have eaten here about once a week for the past few years (I work close by) and while one or two members of the staff are friendly, they get my order wrong about 50% of the time.

I had a horrible experience at this location at Dulles Airport this morning. I had to slide my mask down for a sec to sip my coffee down so I would not burn myself. I was screamed at my the manager whom I was later told his name is Gus. Not sure if that is his name but nevertheless I immediately put my mask back on and he continued screaming at me that I should know this after 2 years of mask mandate. I asked him to stop being so rude to me, it's over. He said that he can he rude to me if he would like to and believe it or not continued screaming at me. I really just wanted my food because I have always enjoyed getting breakfast hereafter my flights but now this really left me felling horrible. It was so embarrassing and a couple of people spoke to me after I got my food that they couldn't believe how I was just treated. No customer should be treated in that manner.

Not what one expects out of an Au Bon Pain. Food that is supposed to be hot isn't and is soggy too. My ham and cheese croissant was just flat out bad. And the layout of this location is FUBAR. It's not engineered for flow and people are bumping into each other with the lines backing up. Will not be back the next time I roll through the IAD.

Worst croissant and cinnamon roll I've ever had. They put everything in plastic bags now and they taste like something you would get from a vending machine except they cost 5$ each. Maybe some of their other food is better? Just horrible.

This is an remarkably poorly run establishment. It was the morning rush at the airport, so there was high demand. Nonetheless, and despite the 30+ person line, the lone cashier inexplicably and frequently disappeared, making the checkout line a perpetually stagnant one. I ordered my bagel sandwich before I got in the checkout line (which line was the checkout line vs. order line vs. pickup line was unclear due to general disorganization) and even after waiting through this line (~25 minutes), my sandwich was still not ready. When it was, I found it much more pancake- than bagel-looking. It tasted okay, though - not awesome, but okay.

Keep in mind I'm reviewing this in comparison to other airport grab and go options so I'm starting with the lowest of expectations. The chicken avocado wrap is perfect for a flight and I ate it hours after purchase. It was carefully prepared without liquidy sauces so as to avoid turning into mush but the avocado added that creaminess. It was flavorful and balanced and held up. I'd definitely get it again. The chicken Caesar wrap failed, despite the anchovies. It was fairly tasteless at least in flight, but again, at least it wasn't a mushy mess hours later so props for that.

I really appreciate being able to get fresh, healthy food while dealing with family in the hospital. The staff has always been very nice and helpful.

Good food but overpriced

It was a nice surprise to find an au bon pain while I was visiting a friend in this hospital. My friend and I both enjoyed the coffee and a sweet treat.

For airport fast food, it is a great option. This location was a bit confusing and they didn't really tell you the sandwich process. How to order, how and when to pay... but we figured it out and then explained it to others. Prices are great, food is fresh and good... but it was slow and there were out of a lot of options. Overall, it's better than the alternatives, but they could do better as well.

I was lucky to try this bakery inside Dulles airport. I have never heard of this place and not sure if this place is a chain. I got to try their humongous almond croissant with light almond paste inside. So so delicious! I wish I could get this on a regular basis. It was little over $2 for one big giant croissant. They do have other pastries. I hope to try them again next time.

Simple and delicious, nice to get a refreshing sandwich after a long day travel.... the service was a little bit slow here, so if you are in hurry, don't wait here...

Wow - talk about stupid. They've made 50-70 salads and have only three containers of same type of salad dressing. Can't imagine running a business like this.

Nice treat while visiting folks in the hospital. Self serve for most items, decent menu for sandwiches and coffee.

Food selection is decent - coffee could be a bit better - but decent variety for an airport stand. Made to order counter help is rude and has no manners. Everyone just looks at one another in disbelief with the lack of manners. Otherwise I'd give them more stars.
