The food was surprisingly good. I’ve never been to one, but it exceeded my expectations. One thing I do admire is the staff. The staff here was 10/10. They deserve raises all around or appreciation because they went above and beyond. Not only did they provide excellent service.. They actively cleaned and the establishment atmosphere was very friendly. I would definitely come back and order different things

At the Princess Anne Street location in Fredericksburg.Markita (I’m sorry if I spelled her name wrong) is just a lovely person altogether. From what I could see, she was the only person working at the counter and dining room during the lunch rush. She deserves a raise, and even a promotion or some sort of recognition. People like her bring customers back to the establishment, because even through the chaos she still treated everyone in the restaurant with kindness and made personal connections with us along the way. I’m not the only person who noticed this, either; I could hear other customers as they talk about her service. I know how horrible customers can be sometimes but she doesn’t let that get in the way of her work. She’s clearly a hard worker who walks with patience and love, and she should be proud. She needs to know she’s not only valued as a service worker but as a person. I have never had a server as great as her. Seriously, give her a giant raise.

My family and I are repeat customers at this establishment; usually, for dinner. Over time, the service and the food quality as been subpar. Most recently, my husband and son ordered dinner for the family (to go/drive-thru) and my husband recognized the order was incorrect. Want to know how the order taker responded? He rudely retorted with "No it's not"! My husband didn't take up additional time to debate with him as other customers were waiting in line for their orders. I called back to the restaurant to complain to the manager and he was equally unconcerned. To top it off...the salmon sucked! It was dry and tasteless. My dog liked it for her dinner. We're done! Not ever going back. I'm so tired of hospitality/food service businesses provividing either poor customer service and/or no customer service.

What can be said of Captain D's. This is gonna be an honest review.I got there for the 3 piece fried fish combo. Fries and slaw are my choice of sides. I rarely ever venture away from this.Tartar sauce is amazing.The best part is that the fish tastes like fish. Not all the other seafood they carry. The fries taste like fries, not shrimp or fish. They must have it right by frying these items separately.Want fried whitefish in this town? Captain D's has never disappointed me in the many years I have stopped in to dine. I always eat in as I don't believe fries food has a good window of greatness. The food has always been served to me hot, and the atmosphere is generally pretty calm here.

This Captain D's was absolutely phenomnal. The service and atmosphere was better than most high-end spots that I've frequented over the last year. Hats off to the managment team and staff. The homestyle fried okra was well worth the commute from DC.

I must say this Captain D's is the best I have been to in a very long time. I grew up on Captain D's. I travel up and down the east coast. The food was hot and fresh. The lady who brought us our food was the sweetest. The cashier was great. Even the other customers pleasant. I will be back.
