No one at the airport on the day of my scheduled Discovery flight. Sign on door saying the airport is closed. No notice given to me.

Fun time with some of the grandkids sipping shakes, floats and eating onion rings and fries at the Robin's Nest Cafe as we watched the planesland and take off.

(FYI using my wife's acct). I was recently stranded at Shannon after an overnight stay followed by a below freezing morning and airplane that refused to start. After repeated attempts using every technique I knew the battery was near depletion. It's a 24V system so I had limited options. Luke Curtas, the owner, volunteered to get some personal 24v starting equipment, ran an extension cord to the nearest hanger, and provided the power to start my airplane. He remained on the ramp until I completed the run up and taxi into position to ensure everything went well. This is great service and much appreciated. The airport itself is newly renovated and has a great 50's era sandwich shop, worth the stop.

The fall festival was great with a great attendance. A lot of aircraft and the museum was as usual a great place to visit. The current owner is doing a great job of keeping something in the community that has a lot of meaning to the people. Candy drop was great for the kids there must have been 2 or 3 hundred kids.

The food is good at Robin's nest. The museum is amazing and well worth 15 bucks! The runway is plenty long, wide, and in good condition. Parking the plane easy. We didn't need fuel but the price for 100LL was not bad too. We'll go back again

My husband is a pilot and he has wanted to see this museum for some time. The museum has vintage aircraft and memorabilia. There are several planes that are rare. They each are the last fully restored type of aircraft of anywhere in the world. Our tour guide was very nice and well informed. He gave excellent insights in the history of each plane and stories of those who flew them.I particularly loved all the kiosks that provided a greater history of the women pioneers in aviation. Shannon Airport Museum made every effort to recognize and give credit to the women who influenced the growth in aviation.I recommend bringing the family to tour the museum (by appointment only) and enjoy a meal at the cafe. The atmosphere is vintage 50s diner style with American fare. The kiddos can enjoy all the model planes suspended from the ceiling! We will be back!.

Don't wait, do those bucket list activities NOW! I'm getting my pilots license.

Took kids to Halloween fest there on 30th. They got candy they got to see stunt flying. There was airplane rides and helicopter rides for a small price. A bi plane flies over the field twice and drops candy for the kids to run and pick up. They had a blast

Cute airport and great restaurant! The girl who took our order was fantastic and super nice. The sandwich was excellent and I’m debating on whether flying back up to get a different one or to stay with my same order (I had the Cuban with a sweet tea). Fly in or drive, this place is hard to beat. Make sure to park on the tie downs near the museum planes if you fly in. Thanks KEZF!
