Location is good, other than that the walls were paper thin. Could hear the baby crying in the room next door on the left and the family talking in the room next door to the right. Could hear people walking upstairs and the AC was very loud that turned on and off each minute. Didn't sleep a wink. Sad to say but I couldn't wait to check out so I could go home and actually sleep. Front desk staff was friendly and bed /pillows were comfy enough.

Very nice, quiet stay in historic district. Very clean and great location. The staff is very nice and helpful, and a nice place to stay, and walk and eat in the district. I'd stay here again in a minute. Very convenient.

Great food and overall just a great vibe. My server Juju was awesome as well.

No issues with this hotel, easy walking distance to many restaurants and it's clean. You can self park or valet, I valet bc it's easier, you drop your keys at the front desk. Check in is always easy, no issues. The rooms are what you expect at a courtyard, kind of outdated but clean enough. No extra amenities. I was recognized for my status with Marriott. The front desk has always been friendly and cheerful.

Stayed here this pass weekend with my service animal and was not told that there would be a pet cleaning fee. I informed them of my service animal at check in, where once again I did not know of the 250$ charge until i received my folio. This was beyond unprofessional especially when there is a town suites less then 15 minutes away that IF i was told of the fee would have still came out cheaper purchasing a hotel there. Sunday (easter Sunday) morning while getting breakfast I noticed a worker pouring a beer before 10 am. Clearly this location is use to doing whatever they please, including adding a pet cleaning fee to your bill without informing you, which could have and should have been done at check in !

This Courtyard was very well maintained. All common areas were clean, and our room was both clean and the furniture and electronics were in very good shape. Bathroom was remodeled. Would stay here again without question.

I've stayed in 2 Marriott Courtyards. The first in Rocky Mount was marginal in terms of cleanliness, friendliness and facilities. Fredericksburg was just the opposite. Right in the middle of nice downtown with all types of restaurants and retail. Staff could not have been more hospitable, helpful and friendly. My room although identical to Rocky Mount had much better bedding and just felt cleaner and more comfortable. Enjoyable visit and we will probably be back on our way to Florida. Highly recommend.

Only thing good about this hotel is it is the only hotel in downtown Fredericksburg. No competition. FYI we had a two night stay and was informed that because of the amount of stay (too short I guess) we would not get housekeeping. So hang up your towels and make your own bed. Do not eat at the little eatery in the lobby. Employees have to look up the sandwiches in a catalog... why would you have to look up how to make a ham and cheese sandwich? IDK! And they are not very good. Good thing is that they share the building with a non Marriott eatery called Italian Station. They have very good sandwiches and delish desserts as well as fresh unsweetened ice tea. If you need a quick convenient food item, pick it up there. They are open from 8am to 10pm. Otherwise hotel was fine.... LOL

Great location with numerous restaurants within steps of the front door. Nice rooms. However, the property could use more attention to routine maintenance. An example is depicted in the attached image of the door jam of my room. It has been worn for some time.Note:-- The room heat works very poorly. It takes far too long to get warm-- The military discount is only offered to active duty service members. I've been a Titanium Elite for years -- translation: I stay at a LOT of Marriott properties, and I have never previously been denied a military discount-- 1" gap under the door lets in far too much disruptive light from the hallway when trying to sleepI often include in hotel reviews, my wish that hotel managers would actually stay in and view their property from the eyes of a guest. Things like the gap under the door, far, far too many disruptive bright lights in a room are things you would NEVER tolerate at home. But a guest is expected to accept and PAY for those things at a hotel.

Always stay here when we visit. Nice staff, clean, well positioned downtown, and clean! The staff is amazing if you need anything they make it happen. Parking is ok. Valet is a necessity and it's pretty responsive when you need your car. The hotel is positioned in walking distance to great shops and eating at great restaurants. Across the street is where you pick up the horse drawn carriage rides. Can't speak highly enough about the staff and location.

I'm a big Marriott fan, so always stay at one of their brands! This hotel was nice and clean and friendly. The Ops manager handed me a water while I was waiting for the car, just to be nice! Thank you.

I had a wonderful two-night stay here this month. My check in requests were honored, staff was professional and friendly, the lobby and bar area were all nicely decorated for Christmas and seating was still in place despite the virus and I really appreciated that. Staff was regularly cleaning public spaces. I'd recommend the hotel and definitely stay here again. The area is safe and in the middle of historic downtown with lots of good restaurants right outside. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Yummy.

The breakfasts are a bit pricey, but oh so convenient and filling. And having Starbucks brand coffees, teas, and cold bottled beverages for sale was a great addition to the menu.
