Abysmal. We were party of 6 adults 2 small kids. We were the only party in restaurant at lunch. Simple order, kids meal and sandwiches. Each order came out one at a time with about 3 to 5 minutes between each simple order. All sandwiches warm/cold,no Smokey flavor, no flavor at all without a LOT of salt.My sandwich was 75% hunk of raw fat. Disgusting. By the time the three year old was served last (his cold fries) most everyone else was finished. On the other fries they were hot, but like soggy noodles. To add insult to injury the tea was either old or instant, just nasty. Waitress was slow but was not unpleasant. Never again for us.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, but the food we got was somewhat disappointing. I got a chicken platter and my husband got the pork platter. The meats were bland so I had to smother mine in BBQ sauce. I enjoyed the collards and baked beans, slaw was ok, but fries were also bland.

Only reason I gave 2 stars is because UberEats was able to deliver. My card declined on their website for NO reason. There was a pop-up to call the store to find out why. ANGIE answered and told me that it was "your frickin card. You figure it out". Don't recommend based on ANGIE's attitude alone.

Had a delicious meal at a reasonable price. They are very upfront about the menu adjusting to the market, great service, and family-friendly atmosphere. Loved it!

The food is damn good if you like BBQ! I got the pork sandwich and my daughter got the brisket sandwich. Brisket just fell apart and was super easy to eat. The pork was amazing and absolutely perfect! Mac and cheese is definitely worth a try. The peach cobbler was the best part!!

Don’t waste your money. We ordered the pulled chicken and brisket with sides of greens beans, mac and cheese, corn fritters, and collard greens. Everything was pretty terrible. Couldn’t even get through eating the chicken, it was so dry and zero flavor. Sides were nasty as well. Will definitely not go back.

Rough! Should have known something was wrong when we walked up and didn't smell anything on the smoker! Left over brisket! Left over collards! Left over mac n cheese! Left over beans! 12noon on a Friday, I'd expect better! Brisket was dry and flavorless. Would expect more than two thin strips for a $16 plate!

Went here for the 1st time today for lunch. Arrived close to opening which may be some cause to the 30+min wait time. I ordered 2 pork hot dogs for the kids, mac and cheese, fries and 2 Brisket Baked Potatoes. The Brisket was tender but both my wife and I ? was not close to cooked. I ended up having to remove the meat and cheese and baking them for another 30 mins when i got home. May be interested in giving another chance mainly because the staff was very nice.

The meat is unseasoned and the collard greens are sweet in like a brown sauce? Everything is sweet actually, like the mustard BBQ sauce is sweet as well. You'll see a lot of 5 star reviews, they're either bots or people who shouldn't review food. Also scroll down to see direct comments from the owner like "we don't season our meat so everyone can enjoy our sauces" and, in response to green beans tasting like they came straight from a can "we don't have a garden back here, where else do you think green beans come from besides a can?"To be honest reading the negative comments gave me a sense of comroddery and that was the best part of the meal.$27 plus tax

This is the worst BBQ in VA. They don't season their meat, it's literally just meat. I don't even think it's smoked. The fact it's #5 on this is baffling; I paid $27 American pre-taxed dollars for unseasoned meat and sweet collard greens and it's the first time I've thrown away food from a restaurant in probably 15 years. Not even once at this place
