The filet mignon & scallops were grilled to perfection. The mixed vegetables and mushrooms were delicious--perfectly seasoned and also grilled just right. And the chef's ability to entertain our group made for an enjoyable birthday celebration. On the other hand, minor annoyances included 1) the soup too watery w/ a minimal number of noodles and mushroom. 2) The waitress had to be reminded (twice) to bring chopsticks and the sake. My major disappointment was that as the birthday guest this restaurant did not honor any discount -- promising 50% off for the guest of honor -- nor did they have a celebratory dessert or drink. Such extras are only given to groups of four or more. Dum, dum, dum policy as I think we'll celebrate next year elsewhere.

I have been to this Osaka twice in the last year. The first time, the food was great and the “show” while the chef cooks was really fun. I just went back for my birthday and sadly the chef did not do any entertaining or tricks whatsoever. That’s the best part of hibachi so it definitely changed my opinion of this restaurant.

Rice was a tad undercooked as it had a bit of a bit to it, meaning it had a crunch. Not good for rice. Server forgot my daughter's appetizer and dessert, so not good. It was super late, near closing, so I would do a 3.5 but it's not an option. Will surely go back.

My family of 6 eat here all the time and with many other families! It is amazing!! Clean, fresh, fast and yummy!! They make us feel like family. I went with hubby and my cousin last week. There's ample parking in the lot, and they seated us as soon as we walked in. The service was really good, our waitress auto refilled our drinks and brought us everything we needed so we didn't need to ask her for refills or anything. We shared the gyoza for appetizer and I got the Nemo roll, salmon avocado roll, and had the two dinner combo with filet mignon&scallops with a side of fried rice. Each hibachi meal comes with a soup and salad.They brought the wrong roll out but they fixed it when i mentioned it. Everything was really good.The filet mignon was especially good. Will definitely be back with the rest of the family! Wish I got pictures of my hibachi but I ended up inhaling it before I could remember to take the pictures. Ambiance was casual, there were a lot of families with children.

I wasn't even aware there was an Osaka in this area so that's already a plus. The location is convenient with plenty of parking. The food portions and price were good and customer service was excellent. Looking forward to returning for the full experience.
We love this place. The sushi is aLeah’s amazing! They accommodate our hibachi modifications and we enjoy the show. They are struggling as most businesses are after Covid and had to downsize on staff/ a single waitress runs the front of house and managing the tables, that is our only reason for the 4 stars on service.

What happened to the food quality? I ordered the fillet mignon special and it smelled so foul, I could not even eat it. The steak was clearly spoiled PRIOR to cooking, but the veggies and other items were totally fresh. I have been eating at the Gainesville, Virginia location since my kids were little (more than 15 years), and I always order the same thing. If food is spoiled, throw it away. Don't prepare it, serve it, and lose a long-term customer! Someone is going to get sick eating spoiled food like this. Never again!

1st time coming to this place, called a couple days before to make reservations and then called that day to confirm my reservation. Got there not only was it my daughter’s 15 birthday but my table wasn’t ready for my party of 15 once we got seated almost an hour later the chefs were amazing the lady wasn’t patient kind of rude and at the end she already had our checks with the tip that she thought we should of put. As a manager at a restaurant I will never tell my staff to demand a tip from the guest. The button line is I’ve never been to a restaurant like this and I was super excited but I will never be back unfortunately!!!
