As a Texan many people assume I know good barbecue. What I had here was some of the best barbecue I have ever had. The meat was so tender and flavorful. The cornbread melted in your mouth. I have never found any where as good as this place in my area of Texas. The enviroment was super friendly and inviting, everyone was beyond nice. I absolutely adored The Bone and WILL be back.

The Bone serves food that is deliciously prepared and satisfying. While you have to order at the counter they bring drinks and food to your table, and they clean after you're done. This trip I had the smoked chicken platter with beans and broccoli. All were first rate. There was so much food I took part of my chicken and the broccoli home. Wonderful leftovers.

Did takeout, and comparing their ribs and sausage to Mission BBQ left a lot to be desired. We've tried 4 different BBQ places in northern Virginia and this is definitely 4th of that group.

I haven't found a bad food item yet, though if you get the BBQ burget beware, it is a lot of burger.Most BBQ burgers are beef patties with BBQ sauce, this is a beef patty with pulled pork on top. It's like having a pulled pork sandwich and a burger in the same meal. Very good, but prepare to be stuffed.Also, if you are going to get corn bread make sure to get two servings for each person. The cornbread is excellent, but one piece just isn't enough.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is mostly accessible, but the main ordering area is at the bar, which is not very wheelchair friendly. Plus, the bar backs to several booths, meaning there is not sufficient space to turn around a wheelchair. You'll probably have to reverse away.Dining in may also be challenging as most of the seats are booths. There is a small area with tables in the middle, which might work if you need to bring in a wheelchair. But it is tight.I'm not sure how accessible the restrooms are (I have not used them). However, access means going past the bar, which is challenging sometimes for able bodied people when other people are sitting at the bar. I doubt a wheelchair would fit without asking everyone to get up.

Nice clean location, with a friendly and inviting staff. I ordered the three meat plate, brisket, ribs and pulled pork, with beans and Cole slaw as sides. The meat was all cooked well, most importantly, not overcooked. The beans were great and very flavorful. Unfortunately, all of the flavor was in the beans and none of it made it to the Cole slaw. The sweet sauce had a great taste, but the habanero and mustard sauces were ehh.

Wow. I've had a lot of BBQ in my 70 years from many different regions, but that was the best I've ever had. I've never tasted brisket that good. And I have never seen a good review about corn bread, but I'm stopping there again just so I can get more. It's the best!
