“My family came to south Boston for a funeral but it also happened to be 3 birthdays in the family that same weekend. I overheard another guest in the hotel talking about what a gem this restaurant was. I was able to make a reservation for the same night. They did not disappoint. The food was amazing, the staff was super patient with our large group and they were able to accommodate us in a private room.I will definitely return.”

“If you are looking for fast, delicious and hot country food, this is it. Wife and I looked at the breakfast included with our room at Berry Hill resort and headed here instead. We had breakfast and everything was done just right. We will return for lunch in a couple of months for the fried pork chop and brown sugar pie. Sausage gravy was awesome.”

“The staff was amazing; friendly down to earth. Cindy;Breanna and the cook staff were all great! We Didnt realize the register overcharged THEY caught it and gave us a refund; usual people would not do that unless the guest caught the overcharge. Food was hot and fresh ;got there for breakfast at 1150am and they stop breakfast at 12 AND THEY MADE IT FRESH!!!Friendly staff and clean atmosphere..”

“I have been going to this bakery since they opened 25+yrs ago. The brownies, peanut butter brownies, coconut pie, cookies, and donuts are amazing. We shipped cookies to Afghanistan when my son was on deployment, and they held up.”

Busy Bean has a wide selection of coffee, espresso and speciality tea drinks as well as seasonal flavors. Their breakfast and lunch options are fresh and tasty. We got a feta cheese avocado toast and a bacon omlette. I couldn't recommend the busy bean in southern Virginia more ?”

All 8 beers they offer are quite good - I love that they have flights!My favorites are the double aught Belgian ale and the exes and oats oatmeal stout!The building is puppy friendly and BYOF so bring snacks or order in some food to have in this great space!”

“Came here for the first time today with my girlfriend while visiting family. A little on the expensive/ pricey side. The blackened catfish was a little spicy but real good! She said the fried oysters were good as well. The broccoli was a bit undercooked and chewy, our waitress was very friendly and great service! Would return if I’m back in the area”

“Everything was awesome!!! The bacon wrapped scallops were huge and delicious and the bacon had very little fat. The beef and veggie skewers were the best I ever had with tender and tasty beef. The sauce was so outstanding, for the first time in my life I found myself dipping grilled onions in it and eating them by themselves!!! The Berry and goat cheese salad was also the best I have ever had!!! The homemade fresh strawberry dressing was as good as a dessert!!! Everything was the best that I ever had and I’m 62 years old!!! It was pricey. Without the tip, for my girlfriend and I to each have an appetizer, salad, and a beer the bill came to $84. Worth it in my expert 62 y/o opinion. My girlfriend (much younger than I) said ditto!”

“1 of the best steak,grilled onions & mushroom sub I’ve had anywhere. Double mushroom pizza has been phenomenal every time we’ve had it. My Mom says it’s the best burger she’s gotten in a restaurant in years. She also said the flounder, slaw & hush puppies were great too. So glad we discovered this place!My daughter ordered the steak & cheese sub & loved it!!”

“Great bar and restaurant at Berry Hill Resort. I have come here for many years and Darby’s Tavern is at the top of their game. The bar staff is the best ever with Kristen, Jamie, Selena and Dallas (yes I have been here a week already). The food is tops as well. No need to leave the property if you stay at Berry Hill!!”

“Had a craving for some Taco Supremes, so I stopped by to get some. They were out of Diet Pepsi, so I had to order a Diet Dew instead. The drive-thru line moved fast, and the cashier was friendly, and efficient. And, I got my Taco fix ??”

“This place was featured in our Electric Co-op magazine and the food looked amazing. We drove by the food trailer once because it had the name Kahuna. And the presentation wasn’t very appealing. I am sure glad we went back because it is hands down the best seafood I’ve eaten. I never cared for scallops because they were always gritty. These scallops were lightly breaded and delicious with no grit. We ordered the fish, shrimp and scallops. It comes with fries and a few packets of sauce. The order was more than enough to feed 2 of us. Mr Breedlove was very kind and friendly. Looking forward to our next visit. My mouth is watering just thinking of Mr Breedloves seafood.”

“Brian, the manager, is the best! He is always kind and observant. I always go there to get a vanilla iced coffee. I eat food from there as well. I have literally gone by there 5 days in a row just to get a vanilla iced coffee. It is the best!!”

“This restaurant was really delicious. We stopped in for my birthday and had pizza and it was fresh and the crust was perfect. You can tell that they clean their ovens because the pizzas are not black underneath. I would go again but I have a new allergies and they don't have gluten-free options.”
